About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how engineering expertise can directly shape safer, more sustainable crop environments? We're looking for an Agricultural Engineer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and get into the field—literally. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of science and real-world impact, where your insights will directly influence pest control strategies across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the surrounding industrial areas. If you're keen on tackling agricultural challenges and have a passion for clean, healthy surroundings, you might just find your next big opportunity here.

About the Company

We’re not your average pest control team. Rooted firmly in the UAE’s agricultural landscape, our company thrives on innovation, teamwork, and a drive for continuous improvement. We believe that effective pest control is about more than quick fixes—it’s about building trust with clients and caring for the land we all rely on. You’ll be joining a tight-knit group that values transparent communication, celebrates wins (big and small), and isn’t afraid to try new solutions—Friday team breakfasts are a tradition, and swapping field stories is encouraged.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing daily pest and general pest control operations in both open fields and industrial environments.
  • Conducting on-site inspections to assess pest problems and determine customized intervention strategies.
  • Advising on and implementing technical solutions, always prioritizing industry best practices and environmental safety.
  • Training and mentoring pest control technicians on the latest procedures and safety standards—your coaching will matter.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and field specialists to develop integrated pest management plans.
  • Keeping meticulous records of applications, solutions used, and outcomes to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
  • Reporting observations and recommending upgrades in equipment or methods to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Troubleshooting unique or recurring pest issues, and adapting plans as needed based on field realities.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years preferred) in pest management, preferably within agricultural or industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of pest biology, control methods, and safety protocols.
  • Confident problem-solving abilities and a knack for thinking on your feet.
  • Clear, practical communication—whether you’re documenting a process or coaching a new technician.
  • Valid UAE driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites in Abu Dhabi/Al Ain/industrial areas.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience leading small field teams or training others.
  • Familiarity with sustainable or organic pest control methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of local regulatory standards and reporting requirements.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary with regular performance reviews—your growth matters to us.
  • Company vehicle provided for field visits (because we know you’ll be on the move).
  • Supportive, small-team environment where your expertise is recognized, and your ideas actually shape the process.
  • Opportunity to work across diverse sites, so no two days are ever quite the same.
  • Ongoing training in the latest pest control technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Flexible working hours and a reasonable blend of office and field work.
  • Our team believes in authenticity, mutual respect, and a shared determination to keep our agricultural landscapes thriving.

Here, your work will have visible results—and you’ll be part of a team that values both people and the planet.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your experience managing pest control operations in agricultural or industrial environments? What technical solutions did you implement and why?
  • How do you determine which pest intervention strategies are best suited to a specific environment or crop type?
  • Tell us about a time you had to troubleshoot a recurring pest issue. What steps did you take to diagnose the problem and adapt your approach?
  • What safety protocols do you consider essential during pest control applications, and how do you ensure compliance among team members?
  • Describe your familiarity with sustainable or organic pest management techniques. How have you applied them in the field?
  • How do you stay current with local regulatory standards, and what processes do you use to ensure your pesticide applications are fully compliant?
  • Share an example of how you trained or mentored a colleague or technician. What methods helped you ensure knowledge was transferred effectively?
  • Imagine you encounter an unexpected surge in pest activity during a critical crop growth stage. How would you handle the situation, both technically and when communicating with the client?
  • Our team values open communication. How do you handle disagreements or differing opinions during strategy meetings with other field specialists?
  • What has been your most challenging field-based project, and how did you keep both morale and operational standards high during it?
  • We celebrate wins as a group and encourage sharing stories from the field. What motivates you to be an active contributor to a team culture like ours?
  • How do you balance following tried-and-true methods with experimenting or suggesting new approaches in pest control?
  • What excites you about working in a role that blends hands-on field work with continuous learning and process improvement?
