About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever imagined yourself designing the future skyline in one of the world’s most iconic neighborhoods? Here’s your chance. We’re looking for an Architect to join our team right in the heart of Dubai’s Marina area—a place where bold ideas and gleaming towers meet the blue of the Arabian Gulf. Whether you’re a fresh graduate or simply new to the field, if you’re hungry to shape spaces that people remember, this could be the perfect launchpad for your career.

About the Company

We’re a boutique architectural consultancy that believes in hands-on learning and creativity over convention. Our studio might be small, but our ambitions certainly aren’t—think challenging projects, collaborative whiteboard sessions, and the occasional brainstorming over strong Arabic coffee. We’re known for blending global design trends with Dubai’s unmistakable flair, and our team is an eclectic mix from all over the world. Here, what matters is your imagination and your drive—not your passport or your resume’s length.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting senior architects in crafting innovative design concepts for residential and commercial spaces in the Marina area
  • Translating sketches and ideas into early drafts and digital models (don’t worry, we’ll show you the ropes if you’re new to this)
  • Visiting local sites with the team to get a real feel for ongoing projects—sometimes the best inspiration strikes during a walk!
  • Assisting with material selection, documentation, and presentations to clients
  • Chipping in during brainstorms, reviewing feedback, and bringing a fresh pair of eyes to every challenge
  • Learning the latest industry tools, with plenty of mentorship and patient guidance

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Currently residing in the UAE (Dubai Marina location is non-negotiable)
  • Degree in architecture (or a related field)
  • Eagerness to learn, experiment, and grow—no experience required!
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Legal eligibility to work (we’ll handle your residency visa)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit—or your current favorite)
  • An online portfolio or collection of concept sketches
  • Curiosity about sustainable/green building practices

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Two-year residency visa & employment contract for peace of mind
  • Health insurance, because your well-being matters
  • Starting salary of AED6000 with room to discuss accommodation and transport support
  • Open and diverse team—truly, all nationalities are welcome
  • Real hands-on experience: from coffee-scented ideation sessions to walking the walk on actual job sites
  • The Marina isn’t just your office—it’s your everyday inspiration
  • Opportunities to turn creative ideas into buildings that stand the test of time
  • Supportive colleagues. If you’re curious and committed, you’ll never feel lost here.

We know the first step in your career can set the course for everything that follows—and we’re here to make sure that step is one you can be proud of.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a design concept you’ve developed—either from your studies or personal work—and explain how you approached the initial stages?
  • If you haven’t used tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit before, how would you approach quickly learning new design software on the job?
  • How would you translate a senior architect’s hand-drawn sketch into a digital model for client review? What questions might you ask or steps would you take to ensure accuracy?
  • When you visit an active construction site, what aspects do you pay special attention to, and why?
  • Tell us about a time you received feedback that challenged your initial idea or approach. How did you respond?
  • Imagine that you’re tasked with preparing material samples and presentation boards for a client who’s unfamiliar with architecture. How would you communicate your ideas clearly?
  • Describe a situation when you had to work with a team of people from different backgrounds. What strategies helped you collaborate effectively?
  • If you were brainstorming design solutions and a colleague proposed something radically different from your vision, how would you handle the conversation?
  • Our studio values innovation and experimenting with new concepts. How do you make sure your creativity doesn’t get stifled by practical constraints?
  • The Marina neighborhood inspires many of our projects. How would you incorporate the local context and cultural influences into your design work?
  • What excites you most about designing both residential and commercial spaces, and how would you approach balancing function with aesthetics?
  • How have you demonstrated a willingness to learn something completely unfamiliar or technical in the past? What was your approach?
  • Working in a small team often means tackling new and ambiguous challenges. How do you stay motivated and organized when the path forward isn’t always clear?
  • Why do you want to start your architecture career in Dubai, and what do you hope to contribute to our team’s creative process?
