What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and engineering residential and commercial buildings (minimum ground 4 or higher) that comply with Sharjah’s distinctive codes and regulations.
- Overseeing projects from initial sketch to site handover, ensuring deadlines and budgets don’t just survive — they thrive.
- Coordinating with local authorities and navigating Sharjah Municipality approval processes like a seasoned pro.
- Collaborating closely with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to bring unified visions to life.
- Conducting site supervisions, addressing on-the-ground challenges, and making quick, pragmatic decisions.
- Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, BOQs, and engineering reports with accuracy and insight.
- Guiding clients through design options, material selections, and regulatory requirements — sometimes all before lunch.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of architectural engineering experience within the Emirate of Sharjah.
- Proven record designing and managing residential and commercial projects of G+4 or above.
- Full, practical knowledge of Sharjah Municipality systems, codes, and approval workflows.
- Strong grasp of local market practices, sustainable design, and best-in-class engineering tools (AutoCAD and friends).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Arabic language proficiency (for talking shop with clients and officials).
- Flair for innovative problem-solving when drawings meet reality.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small project teams.
