About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever imagined yourself keeping the wheels (and the drum) spinning inside a dynamic laundry shop? As our new Assistant Manager at Location Laundry, you’ll be at the heart of our daily operations, helping to deliver squeaky-clean results for our customers and making sure every detail runs like clockwork. If you’re hands-on, people-oriented, and love the hum of a busy workday, this could be the ideal next step for you.
About the Company
At Location Laundry, we’re more than just a place to get your shirts crisp or your suits spotless. Our team takes pride in creating a genuinely welcoming environment — regulars know us by name, and every member pitches in to keep things friendly and efficient. We’re steadily growing, but we never lose sight of what makes us tick: a commitment to quality, teamwork, and a dash of good humor on even the busiest days. Here, helping out a colleague is as normal as folding a fresh pile of linens.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the laundry manager with day-to-day shop operations, keeping everything organized and on schedule.
- Operating drycleaning machines safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards for every garment.
- Greeting customers with professionalism (and a smile), answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction from drop-off to pick-up.
- Monitoring workflow, assisting with staff coordination, and pitching in wherever needed — no “that’s not my job” mentality here.
- Keeping records tidy: managing orders, updating logs, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Handling occasional high-pressure bursts with a level head and problem-solving attitude.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with laundry operations and drycleaning machines — you know your way around the equipment.
- Good English communication skills for interacting with staff and customers alike.
- Proven ability to work professionally with customers, even during the occasional rush.
- Strong organizational skills and a reliable, responsible work ethic.
- Comfortable handling busy days and unexpected challenges.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous leadership or assistant manager experience in a similar setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management or POS systems.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Friendly, tight-knit team that treats each other like family (not to mention plenty of mutual support — no one’s left to “sink or swim” alone).
- Steady hours and a central shop location, so you can plan your days with confidence.
- Real opportunity to learn the ropes of running a service business, with chances to grow alongside us.
- Clean workspace, clear processes, and owners who care about your well-being — not just the bottom line.
- We believe in honest feedback, fair workloads, and celebrating milestones (sometimes with coffee runs... on us).
If you’re looking for a place that values your skills and your effort, you might just find your spot with us.
