About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever imagined what it’s like to be the evening energy behind a cozy, bustling coffee shop? At EVENING Coffee, we’re searching for a Barista/Waiter who thrives on connecting with people and takes pride in crafting great drinks and memorable experiences. If you love the calm hum of espresso machines and the quiet buzz of a place where regulars feel at home, this could be your next favorite job. We’re not just looking for someone to make coffee — we’re inviting you to help set the tone for our evenings.
About EVENING Coffee
Nestled in the heart of the city, EVENING Coffee is more than your typical café. Our team’s vibe? Relaxed but passionate. We believe that great coffee is best enjoyed with friendly conversation in a welcoming space. Whether it’s our staff putting their own spin on latte art, or brainstorming new pastries for our evening crowd, collaboration is at the heart of how we operate. Friday nights? That’s when everyone unwinds with post-shift coffee tastings — it’s kind of a ritual.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing a variety of coffee and espresso drinks to order, paying close attention to each customer’s preferences.
- Handling beverage orders for both dine-in and takeaway guests, balancing speed with quality — you’ll get plenty of practice during our evening rush!
- Welcoming customers as they arrive, recommending drinks or treats, and making everyone feel right at home.
- Keeping the café tidy and organized throughout your shift — including the counter, pastry case, and seating areas.
- Working together with teammates to keep things running smoothly (yes, sometimes that means jumping in on dish duty).
- Taking part in taste tests and skill challenges — we love a bit of friendly competition to keep everyone sharp.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Valid residency permit (transferable or available for temporary sponsorship).
- A real enthusiasm for delivering top-notch customer service.
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability — we count on each other here.
- Willingness to participate in practical skill tests before final approval.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience in coffee or beverage preparation (extra points for espresso machine savvy).
- Familiarity with POS systems or previous work in a café environment.
- An interest in learning more about coffee origins, brewing methods, or latte art.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive pay plus tips — because we know great service (and great drinks) deserve recognition.
- Flexible shift schedules: evenings only, with occasional opportunities to pick up extra hours.
- Staff discounts on all food and drinks (including that impulse dessert at the end of a busy night).
- A supportive, friendly team that celebrates your wins — big and small.
- Opportunities for growth: we offer barista training sessions, coffee tastings, and potential advancement as we expand.
- A work environment where your personality matters as much as your skill set.
At EVENING Coffee, you’re not just pouring coffee — you’re fueling moments, conversations, and community. If you’re looking for a place where your talents (and your quirks) are appreciated, we can’t wait to meet you.
