What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspect building sites and finished structures to ensure compliance with all relevant safety and construction codes
- Prepare detailed inspection reports that leave no stone unturned
- Spot and identify potential structural or safety issues, from minor oversights to major risks
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, contractors, and sometimes even the architect—think of yourself as the bridge between on-paper plans and on-site reality
- Oversee regular site visits to ensure municipality regulations and company standards are being maintained at every phase
- Clearly communicate findings (the good and the not-so-good) to project managers
- Provide practical recommendations to resolve non-compliance issues
- Stay up to date on the latest regulations and adjust site practices when required
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Relevant certification, diploma, or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field
- Previous experience as a Building Inspector or similar role—knowledge of Dubai Municipality codes is a real plus
- Strong eye for detail and a knack for identifying potential issues before they snowball
- Ability to document findings with clarity and accuracy
- Comfort navigating fast-paced construction sites (hard hat fits your head, literally and figuratively)
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
Nice-to-Haves:
- Proficiency in Arabic
- Familiarity with digital inspection or reporting tools
- Calm, firm, and respectful approach during high-pressure situations
