What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the carpentry workshop team day-to-day, making sure everyone knows their roles and deadlines
- Supervising production to guarantee a high standard of work and timely delivery
- Reading and interpreting design plans, then translating them into clear instructions for the team
- Problem-solving on the fly when challenges pop up—because every project has them
- Training and mentoring less-experienced carpenters to hone their skills
- Liaising with project managers and clients to ensure expectations are met (and surprises are minimized)
- Keeping an eagle eye on safety, workshop organization, and efficient use of materials
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience as a carpenter foreman or in a similar leadership role within a woodworking environment
- Strong ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled carpenters
- Hands-on carpentry skills—this isn’t just a desk job!
- Solid understanding of furniture production and custom joinery
- Clear communication in English (Arabic or other languages are a plus)
- Immediate availability to join our team in Ajman
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with CNC machines or specialized woodworking tools
- Background in interior fit-outs or bespoke furniture projects
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in a workshop
