About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ready to put your civil engineering skills to the test in the heart of Dubai? We’re looking for a capable, hands-on Civil Engineer to take the reins on transformative infrastructure projects right here in Abu Hail. If you thrive on seeing big plans come to life—and believe every blueprint deserves attention to detail—this may be the perfect next step in your career. Here’s your chance to join a team that values proactive problem-solvers and rewards ambition.
About the Company
We’re a mid-sized engineering consultancy with deep roots in Dubai’s fast-evolving urban landscape. Our office sits just minutes from the metro, filled with a diverse team that loves a good laugh over weekly shawarma lunches. Here, everyone—from fresh grads to seasoned project managers—has a real say in how we shape the city. Team members are encouraged to own their projects (and sometimes join in impromptu table tennis tournaments during breaks). We’re growth-minded, community-focused, and genuinely proud to mentor each other as we deliver outstanding work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end civil engineering projects, from initial planning through to on-the-ground execution.
- Collaborate daily with contractors, consultants, and vendors—think of yourself as the glue ensuring everyone’s on the same page.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to keep things running like clockwork.
- Ensure compliance with all specifications, regulatory codes, and safety standards (we take this seriously).
- Conduct site visits to supervise progress and address any hiccups that may arise onsite.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders (and occasionally celebrate when major milestones are hit!).
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues—prevention over cure is our motto.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (accredited and completed—you know the drill)
- Demonstrated experience managing civil works projects successfully
- Strong organizational chops, and the confidence to coordinate with people at all levels
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and engineering standards in the UAE
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Haves:
- Valid UAE driving license (definitely helps for site visits)
- Familiarity with local contractors and suppliers
- Hands-on experience with project management software
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary, with annual reviews and performance-based bonuses
- Flexible workweeks—sometimes hybrid, sometimes in the office, depending on project phase
- Health insurance, plus generous leave for family or personal time
- Ongoing training—our senior engineers actually enjoy mentoring (truly!)
- Team culture that values curiosity, laughter, and a drive for results
We believe vibrant cities happen when passionate people come together. Here, your work will have a visible impact—and you’ll chip in with a great group along the way.
