About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction Paragraph
Ever wondered what it feels like to pour the foundation of something that will welcome millions of travelers? We're a major contracting company in Dubai, and we're looking for 30 concrete workers to jump straight into active projects — no waiting around, no vague promises. Right now, our teams are on the ground at Al Maktoum Airport in Abu Dhabi, and we need reliable hands to keep the concrete flowing. If you've been looking for steady work with a company that actually has shovels in the ground, this is about as direct as it gets.
About the Company
We've been in the contracting business long enough to know that big projects don't build themselves — they're built by people who show up, work hard, and look out for each other. Our crews are the backbone of everything we do, and we treat them that way. Whether it's a massive airport expansion or a residential tower, the culture on our sites is simple: do the work safely, do it right, and go home proud of what you built.
We're not a fly-by-night operation. We're a major player in Dubai's contracting scene with a steady pipeline of projects, which means when we say "ongoing work," we mean it. Our site teams are diverse, experienced, and genuinely good at what they do — and we're looking to add more of that energy to the mix.
What You'll Be Doing
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete on active construction sites — from foundations and slabs to structural elements
- Set up and strip formwork, making sure everything is level, square, and ready for the pour
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete surfaces using hand tools and power equipment
- Work alongside steel fixers, carpenters, and site supervisors to keep each phase moving on schedule
- Follow all site safety protocols — PPE, hazard awareness, and safe handling of materials and equipment
- Keep your work area clean and organized, because a tidy site is a safe site
- Report any issues with materials, equipment, or site conditions to your supervisor right away
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience in concrete work — pouring, finishing, formwork, or all of the above
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in Abu Dhabi's heat (we provide water, shade breaks, and all the usual safety measures)
- A solid understanding of basic construction site safety practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team — no lone wolves on a concrete pour
- Valid work authorization or willingness to complete the necessary hiring process promptly
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure or airport projects
- Familiarity with different concrete mixes and finishing techniques
- A valid driver's license or own transport to reach project sites
Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you — if you've got the hands-on experience and the right attitude, we can work with the rest.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Immediate start — we're hiring now, and we mean now. No months-long onboarding limbo
- Ongoing work — this isn't a one-off gig. Our project pipeline keeps crews busy well into the future
- Competitive pay — fair wages, paid on time, every time
- On-site support — supervisors who actually listen, proper safety gear, and a team that has your back
- Accommodation and transport assistance for eligible workers (details discussed during the hiring process)
- A real shot at growth — plenty of our long-term crew started exactly where you'd be starting
We know concrete work is hard work — there's no sugarcoating that. But it's also the kind of work that builds something you can point to and say, "I did that." If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of a project with real scale, we'd be glad to have you on the team.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through your experience with concrete work — which parts of the job have you done most, like pouring, finishing, or formwork?
- When you're setting up formwork, what checks do you run before a pour to make sure everything is level and square?
- Tell me about a time you spotted a problem on site — bad materials, equipment trouble, or unsafe conditions. What did you do?
- How do you adjust your finishing approach depending on the concrete mix or the weather that day?
- Describe a pour that didn't go to plan. What happened, and how did you and the crew handle it?
- What's your process for stripping formwork — how do you know when it's safe and what do you check afterward?
- This role is outdoors in Abu Dhabi's heat. How do you manage your stamina and stay safe through a long, hot shift?
- Tell me about a time you had to coordinate closely with another trade — steel fixers or carpenters, for example — to keep work moving.
- What does a clean and organized work area look like to you, and how do you keep it that way when things get busy?
- Have you worked on large infrastructure or airport-scale projects before? What was different about it?
- If a supervisor gave you instructions that seemed unclear or unsafe, how would you handle it?
- What keeps you motivated on tough days when the work is physical and repetitive?
- Why are you looking for ongoing site work rather than a one-off job, and what do you hope to get out of a long-term crew?
