About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Lead the Build: We're Hiring 3 Foremen for Our Abu Dhabi Projects

Ever walked past a construction site and quietly judged how things were going? If you're the type who notices the crane swinging a load a little too close, or a crew standing around waiting for direction, this role might be for you. We're a general contracting company based in Abu Dhabi, and we're looking for 3 foremen to take charge of day-to-day operations across our active project sites. If you know how to keep a crew moving, a schedule intact, and a site running safely, keep reading.

About Us

We've built our reputation the slow way — one delivered project at a time. Our portfolio spans residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across Abu Dhabi, and we've grown steadily by doing what we say we'll do. No shortcuts, no finger-pointing when things get tough.

The site teams are the backbone of everything we do here. Our foremen aren't just supervisors; they're the people the crews actually look to for answers, and management relies on them to tell us the truth about what's happening on the ground — good or bad. If that sounds like the kind of responsibility you want, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take full ownership of daily site operations — from morning toolbox talks to end-of-day progress checks
  • Direct and supervise workers across different trades, making sure everyone knows their task and has what they need to do it
  • Organize the sequence of work so crews aren't tripping over each other or sitting idle
  • Keep a close eye on deadlines and flag problems early, not after they've cost us a week
  • Coordinate with project engineers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to keep materials and manpower aligned with the schedule
  • Enforce safety rules on site — no exceptions, no "just this once"
  • Maintain daily reports and site records that actually reflect what happened that day

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Solid prior experience as a foreman in general contracting — you've seen a project through from structure to finishing
  • Proven ability to supervise and organize workers on a live site, not just on paper
  • A track record of hitting deadlines and owning the outcome when things slip
  • Serious, dependable approach to the job — our crews and clients count on it
  • Ability to read drawings and communicate clearly with both laborers and engineers

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience on residential or mixed-use projects in the UAE
  • Familiarity with local authority inspection processes in Abu Dhabi
  • A valid UAE driving license

Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Attitude and reliability often matter more than a perfect checklist.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Real responsibility from day one — you'll run your site, not just babysit it
  • Competitive salary with timely payment (we know how much that matters)
  • Accommodation and transport support for site-based roles
  • A team that backs you up — when you raise a problem, management listens and acts
  • Room to grow — several of our senior site managers started as foremen with us
  • Work across Abu Dhabi's active developments, not one static site forever

We're not promising a cushy desk job — this is construction, and it's demanding. But if you take pride in seeing a project rise from foundation to handover, and you want to work with people who respect what you do, this is a good place to be.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you plan a typical day on site — from the morning toolbox talk to the end-of-day progress check. What does your routine look like when things are going smoothly, and how does it change when they're not?
  • You've got three trades scheduled to work in the same area on the same day, and it's clear they'll get in each other's way. How do you decide the sequence, and how do you communicate it so nobody's standing around?
  • Tell me about a time a project fell behind schedule under your watch. What caused it, what did you do about it, and what did you tell management?
  • How do you read a set of drawings when something doesn't quite add up between the structural and architectural sheets? Walk me through how you'd resolve that on site.
  • Describe your approach to enforcing safety rules when a worker you've known for years pushes back and says "just this once." What have you actually done in that situation?
  • What does a daily report look like when you write it? What goes in, what stays out, and who actually reads it?
  • Give me an example of a time you had to coordinate closely with a project engineer or quantity surveyor to keep materials and manpower aligned. How did that go?
  • Tell me about a moment when you had to deliver bad news to management — a delay, a mistake, a problem that wasn't going away. How did you handle it?
  • Have you worked on residential or mixed-use projects here in the UAE? What was different about them compared to other builds you've run?
  • Picture this: it's a Thursday afternoon, you've got a concrete pour scheduled for Saturday, and your key subcontractor tells you their crew isn't coming. What do you do?
  • How do you earn the trust of a crew that's never worked under you before? What do you do in the first week?
  • What keeps you in this line of work? After a

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a monthly salary in the range of 6,000 to 10,000 AED for a foreman role with a general contracting company in Abu Dhabi, with the exact figure depending on how many years of site experience you bring and whether you have UAE-specific project history. Similar foreman positions in the local market usually offer somewhere between 5,500 and 9,000 AED, and since this role comes with accommodation and transport support, the cash component may sit slightly lower than what you'd see elsewhere. If you have strong finishing experience, Abu Dhabi authority inspection know-how, and a valid UAE driving license, don't hesitate to aim toward the upper end of that range — employers here pay for proven reliability on live sites.
