What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming every customer with a friendly smile and personalized service (it goes a long way!)
- Assisting customers with their product choices—offering samples, sharing your favorites, and making recommendations based on their needs
- Slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli meats and cheeses to order, always paying close attention to quality and presentation
- Maintaining scrupulous cleanliness at the counter and prep areas; wiping surfaces, restocking, and making sure displays are always inviting
- Monitoring product freshness and food safety standards throughout your shift; alerting supervisors to any concerns
- Restocking shelves and cases, keeping displays attractive and organized (because people really do eat with their eyes)
- Collaborating with teammates to keep everything running smoothly—whether it’s a quiet morning or a Friday night rush
