About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Are you the kind of person who finds satisfaction in seeing every detail spotless and every process running like clockwork? As our new Laundry & Dry Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll take the helm of one of the busiest branches around, ensuring customers (and their clothes) leave happier than they arrived. This isn’t just about clean collars — it’s a chance to shape a business, grow a team, and make your mark in an industry where quality and care mean everything.
About the Company
We’re a locally rooted laundry and dry cleaning brand with a reputation for reliability and a friendly face at the counter. Beyond our spotless linens and crisp shirts, we’re a close-knit crew: Friday mornings often mean pastries in the breakroom, and you’ll never find a team that pulls together quite like ours during busy weeks. With an eye on innovation, we’re always looking for new ways to serve our community and grow our partnerships — lately, that’s meant working more closely with hotels and businesses who value the details as much as we do.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of daily shop operations, from open to close
- Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of laundry professionals — hiring, training, and supporting their growth
- Overseeing washing, ironing, dry cleaning, and packaging to guarantee impeccable standards
- Creating and organizing staff work schedules that keep the wheels turning smoothly
- Maintaining inventory of detergents, supplies, and equipment — flagging what needs repair or restocking
- Being the go-to for quality control, resolving customer queries with empathy and efficiency
- Actively seeking out and closing new business contracts with hotels, offices, and community partners
- Keeping an eye on the competition and suggesting improvements to keep us ahead
- Reporting on performance, productivity, and team progress to management (don’t worry, we appreciate honesty over sugarcoating)
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience supervising or managing in a laundry, dry cleaning, or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills: you know how to inspire, coach, and bring out the best in every shift
- Practical knowledge of machines, detergents, and garment care (if you can spot a tricky stain from across the room, that’s even better)
- Organizational talents — handling schedules, supplies, and customers without dropping a stitch
- Personable communication; you know how to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike
- Eagerness to develop business, with a track record (or real enthusiasm) for securing new contracts
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends as needed
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses
- Employee discounts on all our services (your dry cleaning needs are covered!)
- Supportive, team-oriented environment — we believe feedback is a two-way street
- Career development support — we aim to promote from within whenever we can
- Modern, well-maintained equipment and a focus on workplace safety
- Opportunity to expand your skills in both operations and business development
- Flexibility and autonomy in your day-to-day management
- Occasional treats (birthday celebrations and “best uniform ironing” contests happen more often than you’d think)
Here, you’re not just keeping things clean — you’re helping set new standards in service, both for your team and our customers. Someone who takes pride in every crisp fold will feel right at home with us.
