About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever found yourself running your hand over a beautifully tailored garment and thinking, “How did this perfection happen?” As our new Quality Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that answer—making sure every stitch, seam, and button in our apparel lives up to our reputation for excellence. This isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about pride, craft, and seeing the difference your standards make, every single day. If you’re passionate about quality and love the energy of a busy, fast-evolving tailoring industry, you might just have found your next home.
About the Company
We’re not the biggest tailoring house in the city, but we’re one of the most passionate—ask anyone on our team. Our roots are in traditional craftsmanship, but our vision is always future-facing, with modern facilities and a genuine interest in the well-being of our people. Quality isn’t just a department for us; it’s woven into our daily routines and Friday “show and tell” sessions, where the smallest details really do matter. If you love a culture that cares about people as much as product, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the full quality journey, from raw fabric inspection through to final packed garments ready for clients
- Guiding, mentoring, and motivating a dedicated inspection team (they’ll look to you for direction and inspiration)
- Developing, implementing, and closely monitoring quality control plans and checklists tailored to specific garments and client specs
- Analyzing trends and data to spot defects early—and leading improvement initiatives to reduce them
- Acting quickly when a potential quality issue pops up, coordinating with production and design to solve problems at their root
- Working with clients and our internal teams to incorporate feedback and tweak quality processes for each new collection
- Training production staff on key quality standards and hands-on best practices
- Reporting on quality metrics and wins (and yes, sometimes losses) to senior management
What You’ll Bring
- Strong background in quality management within the garment or tailoring industry (you know your fabrics, fits, and finishing techniques)
- Experience leading teams—coaching, giving feedback, building skills
- Clear, practical problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for catching what others might miss
- Familiarity with industry-standard quality systems and inspection methods
- Solid organizational skills—you can juggle several lines and still land every task on time
- A collaborative attitude—you’re known for building bridges, not walls
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive compensation, regular reviews, and room to grow along a clear career path
- Supportive, close-knit team that celebrates milestones (and each other)
- Access to state-of-the-art facilities and the latest tools in garment production
- Flexible work hours and a thoughtful approach to work-life balance
- Company gatherings, open-door management, and genuine appreciation for your ideas
Quality here isn’t just an objective. It’s a shared passion—and we’re looking for someone who feels the same. If you want to be somewhere your attention to detail truly makes a difference, let’s talk.
