About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Have you ever felt the satisfaction of watching your work truly transform an outdoor space? Here’s your chance to lead those changes from the top. We’re searching for an experienced Landscaping & Gardening Company Manager to oversee operations, inspire teams, and cultivate both beautiful projects and strong client relationships. If you know your way around both lush gardens and business strategy, there’s a rewarding leadership role waiting for you here.
About the Company
We’re not your typical landscaping firm. Our team blends creativity with practical know-how, taking pride in everything from urban rooftop gardens to large estate makeovers. Behind the scenes, you’ll find a diverse group who genuinely enjoy collaborating (inside jokes and friendly rivalry over the best shrub combinations are part of the package). It’s an environment where new ideas are welcomed, and initiative is noticed — whether we’re brainstorming ways to work more sustainably or finding that perfect plant for a finicky client.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee and supervise day-to-day project site activities to ensure top-quality work and smooth operations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate team members on-site and in the office, supporting their growth and success.
- Handle all client invoicing, follow up on outstanding payments, and keep revenue flowing smoothly.
- Identify opportunities to bring in new landscaping projects and actively work to grow our client roster.
- Coordinate between technical and administrative teams — think of yourself as the glue ensuring every detail is handled.
- Resolve on-site challenges quickly and diplomatically, keeping projects on time and budget.
- Maintain high standards for safety, client satisfaction, and company reputation.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- At least 5 years of management experience, ideally in landscaping, gardening, or similar fields
- Strong organizational skills and a knack for juggling multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability with invoicing, payment collection, and budgeting
- Excellent communication — whether talking shop with field crews or closing contracts with clients
- A real commitment to customer service and a solutions-focused attitude
Nice-to-Haves
- Existing network or portfolio of clients in the landscaping sector
- Hands-on experience with horticulture, landscape design, or construction management
- Familiarity with project management or CRM software
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary and performance incentives
- Supportive leadership and friendly, experienced staff to back you up
- Flexibility to work off-site or in the field when needed
- Real impact: see the tangible results of your leadership in every completed project
- Opportunities to shape company growth and take on new responsibilities as we expand
- Regular team get-togethers — from site barbecues to garden-show trips
Here, your vision and expertise won’t just be valued — they’ll help shape the spaces and experiences we create. Join us as we continue to grow, one project (and satisfied client) at a time.
