About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to become part of a close-knit household and make a real difference every single day? We’re searching for a full-time, live-in Housemaid to join our friendly Pakistani Muslim family of three (plus a lovable cat!) in the heart of Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi. If you’re passionate about keeping a home running smoothly, enjoy caring for children, and have a knack for authentic Pakistani and Indian cooking, this could be your ideal new home and job rolled into one.
About Us
We’re a small, warm-hearted family who values trust, honesty, and a comfortable, harmonious living environment. Our home is a cozy 3-bedroom apartment where everyone—yes, even our cat—has their place. We love home-cooked meals, care deeply for our child’s wellbeing, and enjoy celebrating little moments together, from chatting over chai to winding down with a good movie. Living with us, you’ll always feel included; think of it as joining an extended family rather than clocking in and out of a job every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing daily home-style Pakistani and Indian dishes (think fluffy rotis, aromatic curries, and kid-friendly favorites)
- Keeping our 3-bedroom apartment clean, organized, and tidy—from dusting surfaces to laundry and everything in between
- Caring for our young child: feeding, playtime, keeping up with routines, and making sure they feel happy and safe
- Grocery shopping as needed, ensuring the kitchen is always well-stocked with essentials
- Looking after our well-mannered cat—feeding, petting, and the occasional cuddle
- Coordinating with us on household needs and communicating openly if anything is required
- Flexibly pitching in with any house tasks that come up (we believe in helping each other out!)
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous experience caring for children as well as general housekeeping
- Strong skills in cooking Pakistani and/or Indian cuisine
- Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable with live-in arrangements
- Own visa (we’re only able to consider candidates who already have their own valid visa)
- Friendly, positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a family’s daily routines
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with household grocery planning or list-making
- Pet-friendly and comfortable around cats
- Basic English, Urdu, or Hindi communication skills
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Private room and washroom in a respectful, quiet home
- Free accommodation, WiFi, utilities, toiletries, and all meals provided (with a monthly day off to recharge)
- Stable, regular monthly salary up to AED 1500
- Supportive environment where you’re treated like part of the family, not just staff
- No complicated paperwork: you keep your own (khali wali) visa and enjoy freedom and flexibility
- Located right in central Abu Dhabi—shops, parks, and everything you need close by
Joining our home means more than just employment—it’s about creating a comfortable life together, sharing meals, laughs, and the everyday joys that make a house a home. If you’re ready to become part of a family who will appreciate your hard work and treat you with kindness, we can’t wait to meet you.
