About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to be the heartbeat of safety and resilience in a fast-paced industrial hub? As our next HSE & BCM Officer based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, you’ll do just that. This isn’t just ticking boxes — it’s an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices and Business Continuity Management (BCM) efforts. With industry standards evolving and business continuity more important than ever, this is your chance to leave an impact where it truly matters.

About the Company

Step into a team that values both diligence and camaraderie — where commitment to safety isn’t just a policy, but a shared mindset. Our Mussafah branch is the pulse of our operations, blending hands-on expertise with a genuine sense of community. From spontaneous brainstorming sessions over karak to regular HSE spot awards (yes, we love celebrating wins), we nurture a culture that’s both driven and uplifting.

While we’re established and stable, we're not stuck in our ways. We’re constantly challenging ourselves — and each other — to do better, especially when it comes to keeping our people and operations running safely and smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and deliver site-wide HSE initiatives — from toolbox talks to incident investigations.
  • Conduct regular on-site audits and risk assessments, ensuring every inch of our space meets (or beats) regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and enhance our BCM plans: you’ll help us anticipate, prepare for, and respond to any disruption.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills, making sure everyone knows their role when it counts.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and training to staff, helping foster a culture of vigilance and accountability.
  • Liaise closely with management and external auditors, championing compliance with NEBOSH and ISO 22301 requirements.
  • Stay on top of HSE and BCM trends, bringing fresh insights and improvements to the table.
  • Keep meticulous records — because in our line of work, details make all the difference.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an HSE-focused role, ideally in the UAE.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) — with a strong foundation in safety standards.
  • ISO 22301 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification, with a practical grasp of BCM frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of UAE safety regulations and business continuity best practices.
  • A valid UAE driving license — you’ll need to be on the move!
  • Strong communication skills, able to build trust at every level.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
  • First Aid, Fire Safety, or additional safety training certificates.
  • Enthusiasm for coaching and upskilling colleagues.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you — passion and willingness to learn go a long way here.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary and allowances.
  • Health insurance and annual flight benefits.
  • Professional development — we actively support certifications and training.
  • A supportive, diverse team that truly cares about each member’s voice and well-being.
  • Flexible, approachable management; open doors and open minds.
  • Regular team gatherings (think: BBQs, off-site workshops, or just impromptu cake days).
  • Located in Mussafah, with free staff parking.

We’re serious about safety, but we’re just as serious about making this a genuinely rewarding place to work. Bring your expertise, your energy, and your ideas — and help us set new standards for HSE and BCM in Abu Dhabi.

  • Tell us about a time when you successfully collaborated with external auditors or regulatory bodies. What strategies did you use to ensure a smooth audit process?
  • How do you balance strict adherence to compliance with fostering an open, supportive work culture?
  • We value fresh perspectives. Can you share a recent HSE or BCM trend that excites you, and how you’d propose introducing it to our team?
  • In a high-pressure situation where you notice a gap in our current safety protocols, how would you address it with management and the wider team?
  • What do you enjoy most about coaching others on safety practices, and how do you keep training sessions engaging for your colleagues?
  • Our team celebrates achievements big and small. Can you share a favorite workplace win you were part of, and what it taught you about building a positive safety culture?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a mid-level HSE & BCM Officer with at least three years of relevant UAE experience, NEBOSH IGC, and ISO 22301 auditing credentials in the industrial sector, you should expect a monthly salary in the range of 7,000–11,000 AED.
