Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever found yourself walking through a stunning new office lobby or chic restaurant and wondering, "Who actually made all this happen?" Well, if you know your way around interiors and like seeing projects through from blueprint to finishing touches, this Foreman role could have your name on it. Our team is looking for someone who’s not just about ticking boxes — but genuinely loves the pace, pride, and puzzle-solving that comes with fit-out projects in the UAE.

About the Company

We're a tight-knit interior design company carving out our name in the UAE’s competitive landscape, one vibrant space at a time. It's an exciting chapter for us — fast growth, a steady flow of projects, and a passionate group that celebrates wins (big or small) with serious gusto. Our office banter is lively and you’ll quickly notice that even the quietest among us has a knack for creative ideas. We value clear communication, well-earned tea breaks, and the kind of site meetings where problems are solved — not just discussed. Fridays might mean an early wrap-up if the week’s dirty work is done.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading fit-out works on-site, translating detailed drawings into reality — from prepping surfaces to supervising the last coat of paint.
  • Guiding and motivating your crew — assigning tasks, checking in, and troubleshooting when things inevitably get complicated.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to make sure timeframes (and tempers) stay in check.
  • Reviewing project plans and technical drawings so work flows smoothly, on spec and on schedule.
  • Monitoring quality: keeping an eagle eye out to ensure materials, workmanship, and finishes are up to scratch.
  • Reporting project progress (good and bad) back to management — no sugar-coating, just honest updates.
  • Enforcing safe work practices and site hygiene standards, because going home healthy matters more than any deadline.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience running interior fit-out projects, especially in the UAE — you know local rules, customs, and the market’s expectations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings — an eye for detail, not just the big picture.
  • Proven skill in leading teams on busy job sites, especially when pressures run high.
  • Hands-on knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods typical to UAE interiors.
  • Clear communication in both Arabic and English — you’ll be the go-between for so many different players.
  • Flexible, solution-focused mindset (sometimes, the plan does change at the last minute).

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary that reflects your experience and skill set.
  • A collaborative work culture — your voice is heard, and effort is always noticed.
  • Opportunities to work on a diverse mix of interior projects, each one a new challenge.
  • Supportive management that values practical solutions, not just theory.
  • The chance to grow with us — as we expand, you’ll find more paths to leadership and learning.

We’re building something lasting here, and your expertise could be the missing piece. If you’re ready to take responsibility and see your team’s work come to life across the UAE, we want to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a recent fit-out project you supervised in the UAE? What were the biggest challenges, and how did you address them on site?
  • How do you typically approach interpreting complex technical drawings to ensure every detail is correctly executed during fit-out works?
  • Describe your hands-on experience with the materials and finishes commonly used in high-end interiors across the UAE. Are there any local sourcing or application challenges you've faced?
  • When coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, how do you handle conflicts or delays to keep the project moving and maintain good relationships?
  • Tell us about a time when last-minute plan changes required you to reassign tasks on-site. How did you communicate and adapt with your crew?
  • What systems or routines do you have in place to monitor and ensure quality across all stages of a fit-out project?
  • Give an example of a time you had to deliver difficult news about project setbacks or on-site issues to your management team. How did you approach the conversation?
  • How do you motivate your team during intense project deadlines, especially when unexpected problems arise?
  • Can you share a situation where maintaining safety or site cleanliness standards was challenging? What steps did you take to uphold these standards?
  • How do you balance the need for clear, honest communication with different stakeholders — from your crew to management and outside contractors?
  • What strategies do you use to encourage collaboration and creative problem-solving during site meetings?
  • This company values both practical solutions and a lively, supportive team spirit. How do you contribute to a positive site culture, even during demanding periods?
  • How do you handle feedback and suggestions from colleagues who might be less vocal or newer to the team?
  • Fridays sometimes mean an early finish here if the week's goals are met. How do you plan work so your team can take advantage of this flexibility without sacrificing quality?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Foreman position specializing in interior fit-out projects within the UAE, you should expect a monthly salary ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 AED, depending on your experience and the complexity of past projects you've handled. Similar roles often offer additional benefits for site-based work, so it's reasonable to discuss allowances for transport or accommodation during negotiations as well. With strong local experience and leadership skills, aiming for the upper end of this range is justified.
