Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to be the go-to tech expert when the whole office relies on you to keep everything running? As our new IT Technician, you won’t just be troubleshooting computers — you’ll shape the backbone of our network, from fiber optic installations to seamless WiFi coverage. If you’re ready to get your hands dirty (sometimes literally — cable trays aren’t glamorous), this might just be the next great step in your career.

About the Company

We're a close-knit, fast-moving team who believe that reliable tech is the unsung hero of a productive workplace. While we’re growing in size and scope, our culture is still rooted in rolling up our sleeves and helping each other out — whether it’s on-site, via chat, or during our somewhat infamous coffee breaks. Trust, teamwork, and a knack for problem-solving are at the heart of what we do. Oh, and if you love tinkering or can recite WiFi router model numbers from memory, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling on-site network installations — yes, you’ll be running Cat 6 cables and mounting gear, not just supervising
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining fiber optic lines for high-speed connectivity
  • Setting up and troubleshooting reliable WiFi networks across company locations
  • Installing and maintaining CCTV systems, ensuring our premises stay secure and footage is available when needed
  • Diagnosing, escalating, and resolving system or user issues (sometimes while someone’s hovering nervously behind you)
  • Keeping meticulous records of installations, repairs, and upgrades, so nothing slips through the cracks
  • Collaborating with team members on security protocols and recommending improvements where you see fit
  • Occasionally providing end-user technical support — sometimes basic, sometimes a real head-scratcher

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Strong, hands-on experience with structured cabling (Cat 6), fiber optic, and network installations
  • Solid, practical knowledge of CCTV system setup and maintenance
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting WiFi networks in small- to medium-sized environments
  • A proactive approach to solving problems, and the ability to work independently (but you’re still a team player at heart)
  • Willingness to occasionally “crawl under desks” and climb ladders — let’s be real, it comes with the territory
  • Excellent communication skills with both techies and non-techies

Nice-to-Haves

  • Relevant certifications (like CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar)
  • Familiarity with access control systems
  • Experience with network security fundamentals
  • A sense of humor — system upgrades always go smoother if you can laugh along the way

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary with room for growth as you deepen your skills
  • Flexible hours — we care more about results than clock-punching
  • Occasionally remote work possible, depending on your projects
  • Ample support for professional development, including training and certification reimbursement
  • Team events, shared lunches, and occasional field trips to check out the latest tech
  • A steady stream of projects — you’ll never be bored or stuck doing the same thing every day
  • A truly collaborative team that appreciates your expertise (and never takes your hard work for granted)

Here, you’re more than just the “IT person” — you’re an essential part of building a connected, secure, and future-ready workplace. Come roll up your sleeves with us.

  • Have you previously installed or maintained fiber optic lines? What tools and safety measures do you rely on most during these projects?
  • When setting up a CCTV system, how do you ensure both security and ease of future maintenance? Are there any particular brands or software platforms you prefer?

  • How do you prioritize between handling user support requests and larger-scale infrastructure projects, especially when urgent issues arise simultaneously?
  • Describe a project where you identified and introduced a security improvement, either for network or device safety. What was the impact on the team?
  • Tell us about a time you had to work with someone who was not very tech-savvy. How did you help them understand what was going on or reassure them?
  • If you noticed that your documentation on installations and repairs was falling behind due to a busy week, how would you catch up while keeping daily work on track?
  • When collaborating on network security protocols, how do you make sure your suggestions are both effective and practical for your colleagues’ day-to-day work?
  • Our team is close-knit and communication is essential. What approaches do you use to build trust when joining a new group or project?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis
