About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to be the hero behind crisp uniforms, fresh linens, and spotless garments? As our new Laundry Technician, you’ll join a hardworking crew in International City, making sure every wash meets high standards and every fabric gets treated just right. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill backroom gig — we’re looking for someone who’s as passionate about laundry as we are about keeping things spotless and running smoothly.
About the Company
We’re a close-knit team rooted in International City, where efficiency and quality go hand in hand. Think of us less like your typical industrial laundry and more like a fabric care community: we take pride in our work and our relationships. Here, everyone’s ideas are valued (yes, even the wild ones that come up during our spirited tea breaks). We believe small touches make a big difference — for our clients, and for each other.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carefully sort, wash, dry, and finish a range of garments and linens — from silk shirts to heavy-duty uniforms
- Assess different fabric types and select the safest, most effective cleaning methods each time
- Identify and treat stains using professional spotting techniques (your stain-removal skills will be the stuff of legend)
- Operate and maintain industrial washers, dryers, pressing machines, and finishing equipment safely
- Fold and present items so they don’t just look good — they feel good, too
- Stay alert to any damaged items or unusual wear; bring concerns to the team so nothing slips through the cracks
- Follow hygiene, safety, and operational policies — your commitment to safety helps keep everyone at their best
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Real-world experience in laundry operations, ideally with different garment and fabric types
- Solid understanding of stain removal, fabric care, and garment finishing
- Comfort operating commercial laundry equipment and handling routine maintenance
- Attention to detail — you notice the tiny things others might miss
- Basic communication skills and a cooperative team spirit
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience in a hotel, healthcare, or specialized laundry setting
- Familiarity with eco-friendly processes or products
- Willingness to share tips and tricks you’ve sharpened over the years
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive compensation, always on time
- Friendly, multicultural team (our daily banter comes in more than three languages)
- Well-maintained equipment and supporting staff — we don’t cut corners on safety or quality
- Consistent work schedule so you can plan your days — with occasional flexibility for life’s curveballs
- Opportunities to grow, learn new skills, and move up with us as we expand in International City
If you enjoy the satisfaction of a job done right and being part of a team that takes pride in their craft, you’ll feel right at home here. Some folks say laundry is behind the scenes — but here, you’ll always be front and center.
