About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about what it’s like to truly keep a home running smoothly? We’re on the lookout for an Electrician/Plumber with a UAE driver’s license to join a friendly family household in Mushrif, Abu Dhabi. This isn’t your typical maintenance gig—it’s a chance to become the trusted go-to for keeping things in great shape, day in and day out. If you’re handy, reliable, and ready for a new home away from home, this could be just what you’ve been waiting for.
About the Family
We’re a close-knit household that genuinely values respect, honesty, and a can-do spirit. Our home in Mushrif is always buzzing with activity, and we treat everyone—staff included—like part of the family. Expect a supportive environment where your work is noticed and appreciated, whether you’re fixing a leaky faucet or wiring a new light fixture. We keep things professional but genuinely enjoy a chat over a good cup of tea in the kitchen.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Handling basic electrical repairs (think sockets, switches, lighting) to keep the home safe and functioning.
- Carrying out day-to-day plumbing maintenance, from minor leaks to keeping water pressure in check.
- Driving family members or running occasional errands using the household car (all within Abu Dhabi).
- Keeping your tools and the workspaces tidy and organized—not just for safety, but for everyone’s peace of mind.
- Coordinating with other household staff and communicating needs for materials or spare parts.
- Being available for the occasional after-hours emergency (because things rarely break on a schedule).
- Generally pitching in—sometimes it’s changing a lightbulb, other times it’s helping with a quick home improvement project.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Valid UAE driver’s license and comfort driving in Abu Dhabi.

Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous live-in experience or working with families.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently before calling a specialist.
- A knack for keeping a calm head even when things get a little hectic.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
