About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Looking for a Caring Live-In Housemaid in Ajman
Ever pictured yourself making a genuine difference in a household — where your attention to detail and kindness are truly valued? If you enjoy creating a comfortable, clean space and lending a hand where it’s needed most, you might be the helping hand our busy family has been searching for. We’re a family of five (plus a couple of friendly cats) in the heart of Ajman’s Al Yasmeen Area, looking for a trustworthy and reliable live-in housemaid to join our home.
About Us
We’re a warm, easygoing family with three energetic kids and a couple of cats whose curiosity knows no bounds. School mornings can be a little hectic (whose aren’t?), but we love to wind down together in the evenings or share a laugh over lunch on weekends. While our days are lively, we believe in a calm, supportive home environment. Respect, fairness, and open communication are very important to us — we want whoever joins us to feel right at home. We see this as much more than just a job; it’s about becoming a valued part of our daily lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping our home clean and tidy — sweeping, mopping, dusting, and making sure common spaces feel welcoming
- Ironing clothes and keeping wardrobes organized so everyone heads out looking their best
- Helping with basic lunch preparations, especially school lunchboxes for the kids (no complicated cooking or big family dinners—just simple, thoughtful meals)
- Offering occasional help with our cats—feeding, light cleaning of their area, and, above all, a gentle touch
- Lending an extra hand when needed, but never managing the household alone or taking on heavy childcare
- Enjoying your own private space after hours — privacy and respect are very important to us
What You’ll Bring
- Prior experience with household cleaning and organization (families with kids is a plus!)
- Comfort around children and pets — you don’t need to be a cat whisperer, but curiosity and kindness help
- Ability to prepare basic, kid-friendly food; lunchbox ideas and simple snacks are more than enough
- Reliable, trustworthy, and honest — we value someone who takes pride in their work
- English or Arabic communication skills (basic conversational level is fine)
Not sure you tick every single box? We’d still love to hear from you — genuine character means more to us than a perfect résumé.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Own private room and washroom for comfort and privacy (room security is in place)
- Competitive salary between AED 1,000–1,200, paid on time every month
- One day off per month to rest, recharge, or connect with friends
- No heavy cooking required — focus is on cleaning, ironing, and making the kids’ lunchbags fun and practical
- Stable, supportive family environment where trust and respect go both ways
- No agencies or brokers, and strictly female applicants only
We want this to be a good fit for both of us. If you’re looking for a stable role with a considerate family (and some feline company), reach out — you might just be the right person for our home.
