About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wanted to see your handiwork become part of Dubai’s skyline? As a Metal Fabricator (Blacksmith) with EGY Led’s Dubai branch, you’ll take raw steel and turn it into something remarkable—be it bespoke staircases, decorative gates, or precision frameworks. This is your canvas if you love the spark (literally!) of welding, forming, and finessing metal into custom pieces that last. We’re making room for a new pro in our growing Deira team, and if you know your way around the forge and workbench, there’s a spot with your name on it.
About the Company
EGY Led isn’t just another fabrication shop; we’re a tight-knit crew with a shared craftsmanship streak—one that’s known for combining classic blacksmith skill with today’s cutting-edge techniques. Our Dubai branch feels more like a workshop family than a factory floor. While our business is growing quickly, we never lose sight of quality or the pride in a clean, elegant weld. Morning banter over chai is a daily ritual, and our team celebrates each finished project with genuine camaraderie (and sometimes a well-deserved laugh about that one job that almost got away). Here, everyone’s opinion counts—whether you’ve been in the trade for 20 years or are keen to learn from the best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to craft custom metalwork—no guesswork, just precision.
- Cutting, welding, and assembling structural and decorative metal components using tools of the trade (think TIG, MIG, grinders—whatever fits the job).
- Shaping iron, steel, and other metals to match bespoke designs—sometimes ornate, sometimes purely functional.
- Conducting repairs and refinishing of existing metal installations—worn hinges, bent balustrades, and all those “how did that break?” mysteries.
- Collaborating closely with designers, contractors, and clients on-site to ensure the final result is spot-on.
- Keeping your workstation organized and up to safety standards; a tidy shop makes for a sharp team.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience in metal fabrication, welding, or blacksmithing (the more varied, the better).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or sketches—sometimes with a bit of creative problem solving.
- Familiarity with cutting, forging, and finishing techniques (torch, angle grinder, etc.).
- Good communication—whether explaining an idea or just having your teammate’s back.
- Physical fitness and stamina; this is real, hands-on work.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience with decorative or architectural metalwork in the UAE/Gulf region.
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication.
- A knack for troubleshooting and fixing things on the fly.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
