Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever been part of a project that truly matters to the community? Here’s your chance. We’re a well-established contracting company in Abu Dhabi, and we’re seeking a skilled manpower provider or specialized subcontractor for plumbing works on an iconic mosque construction project on Yas Island. If you or your team take pride in quality, precision, and contributing to landmark builds, this opportunity could be right up your alley.

About Us

We’re not your average construction firm. Our team thrives on collaboration and a shared sense of purpose — especially when our work leaves a lasting impact on the city’s skyline and its neighborhoods. While deadlines matter, so do Friday team lunches and a culture that values transparency, safety, and mutual respect. Every project is a chance to learn, grow, and celebrate milestones together — and this mosque project is particularly close to our hearts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing sanitary drainage and water supply connections in mosque toilets and ablution areas, ensuring full compliance with local plumbing codes
  • Executing precise external sanitary and water connections, coordinating with other site contractors as needed
  • Setting up rainwater drainage systems, from initial trenching to final connection
  • Conducting thorough checks and pressure tests to ensure leak-free, reliable installations
  • Communicating progress and flagging any site challenges to our site engineer or project manager
  • Maintaining a clean, organized work area — we take pride in leaving things better than we found them
  • Working closely with our safety team to uphold strict HSE standards on-site

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience in plumbing works for large-scale projects (mosques or public buildings a plus)
  • Familiarity with sanitary drainage and water supply systems, especially in the UAE context
  • Skilled team or workforce ready to mobilize for Yas Island site
  • Commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety compliance
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and coordinate with other trades
  • Valid trade licenses and legal capacity to operate in Abu Dhabi

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience with mosque or religious facility construction
  • Knowledge of sustainable water management or rainwater harvesting systems
  • Flexible and solution-oriented approach — things rarely go exactly to plan!

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Opportunity to be part of a landmark, purpose-driven project
  • Fair, timely payments and clear contract terms
  • Supportive team environment — we believe in open communication and collaborative problem-solving
  • Safety is non-negotiable: we invest in training and on-site support
  • Respect for your expertise — your input matters, not just your labor
  • The satisfaction of seeing your work serve the community for years to come

If you’re looking for a project where your team’s skills will be valued — and where the end result will truly mean something — you’ll feel at home working with us.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your previous experience handling plumbing works on large-scale projects, particularly any that involved public or religious buildings?
  • How do you ensure your installations for sanitary drainage and water supply systems meet all relevant Abu Dhabi plumbing codes and standards?
  • Describe your process for coordinating external sanitary and water connections with other site contractors to avoid clashes and ensure smooth handovers.
  • What steps do you take to perform accurate pressure tests and leak checks before handing over completed plumbing works?
  • Have you worked with rainwater drainage or harvesting systems before? If so, how did you integrate them into the overall plumbing design and execution?
  • Share an example of a time when an unexpected issue arose on-site. How did you and your team adapt to resolve it while maintaining project timelines and quality?
  • How do you approach communicating progress and potential challenges with project managers or site engineers, especially under tight deadlines?
  • Tell us about a time when you had to enforce or advocate for strict HSE standards among your team or subcontractors.
  • What strategies do you use to maintain a tidy, organized work environment, especially when juggling multiple trades and tasks on a busy site?
  • How do you foster collaboration and mutual respect among your crew and with other teams on complex projects?
  • What motivates you and your team to deliver high-quality workmanship, especially on projects that have cultural or community significance?
  • How do you handle situations when plans or shop drawings change suddenly? Can you share a specific example?
  • In your view, what does it mean to contribute to a project that "serves the community," and how does that influence the way you work?
  • Why do you think your team would be a great fit for a project that values not just technical expertise, but also open communication, flexibility, and shared purpose?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For specialized subcontractors or manpower providers handling plumbing works on major construction projects in Abu Dhabi, similar roles typically yield a monthly contract value of around 10,000–18,000 AED per skilled plumber, depending on experience, project complexity, and team size. If you’re bidding as a subcontractor with a full team, ensure your rates account for both labor and overhead, with experienced teams often negotiating higher rates for landmark or technically demanding works. You should expect fair compensation in this range, with scope for premium rates given the profile and standards of the mosque project on Yas Island.
