About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how impact in construction is measured beyond what you build? At Quicklime General Contracting LLC, our Safety Manager role isn’t just about rules and regulations—it’s about caring for people on site, every day. Here, your expertise helps protect lives, shapes the safety culture we’re known for, and ensures every project runs better, stronger, and safer. If you’re ready to influence the way our teams work—and look after each other—this could be the change of scenery (or skyline) you’ve been looking for.

About Quicklime General Contracting LLC

Quicklime isn’t your typical contracting company. We’re a diverse, tightly-knit crew that blends decades of industry experience with a drive to challenge tradition—especially when it comes to safety. Yes, we build. But more importantly, we build trust: between teams, with clients, and out in the communities where our projects rise. Weekly tool-box talks aren’t a checkbox here; they’re a conversation. And Friday demo days? Well, let’s just say the team’s competitive streak comes out in full force.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading on-site safety initiatives, making sure our teams are equipped, informed, and supported every step of the way
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and regular safety inspections—digging deeper than checklists to spot real-world hazards
  • Investigating incidents (should they occur), digging for root causes, and coaching teams on lessons learned
  • Keeping our safety documentation up to date, accurate, and audit-ready—no guessing games
  • Rolling out training sessions and toolbox talks that make policy practical, not just theoretical
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring our projects are always above the safety compliance bar
  • Being a visible, approachable safety leader—whether you’re walking the site or chatting over coffee in the break room

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety Manager, Engineer, or Supervisor in the construction industry
  • Valid HSE certifications—NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent recognized qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and practical safety measures on UAE sites
  • Hands-on skills with risk assessment, safety inspections, and incident investigation/reporting
  • UAE driver’s license (so you can get where you need to be, fast)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience implementing behavioral safety programs
  • Familiarity with digital safety platforms or apps
  • Strong communication skills—it’s not just what you know, but how you share it

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Supportive team culture—when one person learns, we all learn
  • Regular training, certification sponsorship, and opportunities to lead innovations in safety
  • Modern, collaborative office space plus on-site field variety (no weeks are the same)
  • Open communications—our best ideas often come from the ground up
  • Well-structured career advancement tracks for those ready to step up
  • Work-life balance respected: early finishes on safety milestones, team lunches just because

Joining Quicklime means taking pride in what you protect, not just what you build. If you want to shape the culture of safety for projects that leave a mark on the skyline—and the people who work beneath it—this is home.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

  • What HSE regulations or requirements specific to UAE construction sites do you find most challenging, and how do you ensure ongoing compliance on the ground?
  • Describe your process for rolling out a new safety policy or training. How do you make sure it’s both understood and adopted by teams with different levels of experience?

  • In a fast-paced environment where project deadlines are tight, how do you balance safety priorities with production demands?
  • Our team enjoys a competitive spirit, especially during Friday demo days. How would you channel that energy to foster friendly competition around safety milestones?
  • Why does fostering trust and approachability as a safety leader matter to you—and how do you put that into practice daily?
  • What motivates you most about protecting people on a project site, and how do you stay inspired over the
