About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever worked behind the scenes to make a construction site hum with activity — not a brick missing, not a deadline missed? That’s the impact a great Procurement Officer has. We’re searching for someone with a sharp eye, a head for numbers, and the drive to source the right materials at the right time, every time. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and make a tangible difference in dynamic construction projects right here in Ajman, you might be the person we’re looking for.
About the Company
Welcome to Office 204 in Apricot Tower, Al Liwan — a place where blueprints become buildings, and every team member plays a core role in that transformation. We’re a close-knit bunch with a common goal: building exceptional spaces across Ajman and beyond. Our culture values initiative, communication, and the quick-thinking resourcefulness that construction demands. (Coffee-fueled brainstorms and friendly debates about vendor quality? Fairly standard around here.) We’re growing, and every new team member helps shape our trajectory.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating terms, and building strong vendor relationships.
- Procuring construction materials, equipment, and services to meet evolving project needs and tight timelines.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to forecast upcoming requirements and manage just-in-time deliveries.
- Ensuring all procurement activities align with budgets, quality standards, and company policies.
- Maintaining thorough documentation on quotations, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
- Troubleshooting supply chain hiccups — finding alternatives with speed when the unexpected occurs.
- Staying up to date with market trends and changing supplier landscapes to ensure the best value and reliability.
- Collaborating closely across the team (and occasionally rescuing the morning with a surprise pastry run).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles within the construction sector.
- Solid negotiation and communication skills — you’re comfortable getting on the phone, sending a quick WhatsApp, or meeting face to face.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when juggling multiple suppliers and urgent requests.
- Strong working knowledge of sourcing platforms, procurement software, and Microsoft Office tools.
- A proactive mindset with the flexibility to adapt to fast-changing project requirements.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with local suppliers and regulations in Ajman or the UAE construction industry.
- Experience handling international shipments or customs documentation.
- Diploma or degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive compensation plus annual performance bonus opportunities.
- Supportive team culture where your ideas actually shape how we work.
- Exposure to a wide variety of construction projects and supplier networks — never a dull day.
- Office in the heart of Al Liwan, with access to great facilities (and plenty of lunch options).
- Advancement potential as our projects — and your experience — grow.
- Regular team-building activities and a management team that believes in celebrating every win, big or small.
Here, your work ensures that the gears of construction keep turning smoothly. If you enjoy putting your organizational superpowers to the test and being a valued part of a passionate team, this could be your next great move.
