About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Are you someone who doesn’t just spot the smallest flaws, but finds genuine satisfaction in polishing every detail until everything shines? At Spazio, we’re searching for a QA/QC Engineer with a passion for quality craftsmanship—someone with an eagle eye for joinery and fit-out work. In the world of high-end interiors, those tiny details matter, and your role will be crucial in turning blueprints into flawless finished spaces. If you love seeing a project come together seamlessly (literally and figuratively), this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
About the Company
Spazio isn’t your average fit-out firm. Based in the heart of the UAE, we’ve become known for stunning interiors, expert joinery, and a hands-on team that genuinely cares about the work we do. Our craftsmen take pride in every panel, seaming, and finish—Friday lunch breaks are often spent debating the best wood grain or latest design trend. You’ll find that “quality” isn’t just a department here, but part of our DNA. We’re growing, and eager to welcome someone who gets why attention to detail sets us apart.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing quality control for ongoing fit-out and joinery projects, from raw material inspection through to final handover.
- Reviewing and verifying technical documents, drawings, and samples to ensure they meet project specs.
- Conducting on-site and workshop inspections—sometimes with clipboard in hand, sometimes on hands and knees—spotting issues before they become real problems.
- Coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and skilled trades to embed quality standards at every project stage.
- Documenting inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions, making sure records are always clear and audit-ready.
- Enforcing strict compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and our own quality benchmarks (we set the bar high).
- Driving continuous improvement—whether that’s suggesting better materials, smarter processes, or new quality tools.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven QA/QC experience specifically within fit-out and joinery projects (commercial or residential).
- Prior work experience in the UAE—familiarity with local codes, suppliers, and construction practices matters.
- Solid grasp of inspection procedures, ISO standards, and detailed technical documentation.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering/shop drawings.
- Collaborative attitude and strong communication skills—you’re as good with people as you are with paperwork.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Experience with QA/QC software or digital reporting tools.
- Extra appreciation for truly beautiful woodwork.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary package, tailored to your expertise.
- Supportive, close-knit team—no shouting, just plenty of problem-solving and project pride.
- Opportunities to work on signature projects that set the industry standard in the UAE.
- Regular skills training and personal development—you’ll grow with us.
- Respect for work-life balance, and flexible working hours when projects allow.
- Employee recognition for a job well done (we believe quality should be celebrated).
At Spazio, you’ll have a real say in how we operate and the quality of our final product. We care about details and about each other—there’s a good chance you’ll feel right at home.
