About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to play a direct role in shaping the city skyline—one real, tangible building at a time? Here’s your chance. We’re looking for a seasoned Structural/Civil Engineer who’s more than just a number cruncher: someone who understands both the craft of engineering and the nuances of working on-site in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between design and reality, working on both residential and commercial projects from the ground up.
About the Company
We’re a tight-knit engineering consultancy planted in the heart of M B Z City, Abu Dhabi. Here, collaboration isn’t just a buzzword—it’s how we get things done, whether we’re sketching out ideas over strong Arabic coffee or hashing out solutions on a dusty jobsite. We take pride in delivering projects that stand the test of time (and the desert sun), all while keeping our team’s wellbeing front-and-center. Fridays have a special energy here, with casual team check-ins that sometimes end up as impromptu brainstorming sessions—or just a shared meal.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating robust structural designs for new residential and commercial buildings, adapting plans as projects evolve
- Using industry-standard engineering software to model and analyze structural systems—think ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, or similar
- Overseeing day-to-day execution on site, catching issues early and providing practical, real-time engineering solutions
- Coordinating closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to make sure every detail aligns, from blueprint to build
- Preparing reports, technical documents, and following up on project timelines so nothing slips through the cracks
- Visiting project sites regularly to inspect work quality, ensure compliance with safety standards, and advise on complex construction challenges
- Acting as a mentor and resource for junior engineers, always ready to share experience and answer questions
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of hands-on structural or civil engineering experience—right here in the UAE
- Solid track record using engineering design software (like ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, or equivalent)
- Proven experience supervising execution works on-site (and a knack for problem-solving under pressure)
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong communication skills in English—clear, precise, and collaborative
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with both residential and commercial project types
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi building codes and local permitting processes
- Working knowledge of Arabic for smoother on-site coordination
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, transparent salary structure and regular performance reviews
- Supportive, collaborative team with a genuine passion for quality engineering
- Flexibility: Office located in MBZ City, with site visits across Abu Dhabi
- Encouragement for continual learning—whether it’s a new software tool or a professional development workshop
- Practical perks like free parking, snacks in the office, and a team that actually celebrates project milestones (not just deadlines)
- Real growth opportunities—as we take on bigger projects, you’ll have room to lead and innovate
We know good engineering is about more than just the calculations; it’s about building lasting partnerships and having pride in the projects you see rising skyward. If you’re ready to make your mark, let’s talk.
