What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for new tenders and ongoing projects—each with its own unique challenges.
- Analyzing project drawings, specifications, and contracts to spot opportunities for cost savings or risk mitigation.
- Attending site visits to monitor progress, verify completed works, and ensure everything aligns with your cost plans.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate the best terms possible.
- Processing interim payments, managing variations, and preparing accurate final accounts when projects wrap up.
- Keeping up-to-date with local market rates, material trends, and UAE construction regulations—your insights make a difference.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of on-the-ground experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the UAE construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of local construction practices, rules, and pricing trends.
- Confidence working with drawings, specifications, and a range of contract types (FIDIC experience is a big plus).
