About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Step Into the Front Desk of Dubai’s Next Big Thing

Ever walked into an office and instantly felt welcome? That’s not an accident — it’s usually the person at the front desk. We’re looking for a Receptionist to be that person in our Business Bay office: the first hello, the friendly voice on the phone, and the steady hand that keeps the day running smoothly. If you’ve been searching for a role in Dubai that offers real stability — visa, accommodation, transport, all handled — plus a team that actually appreciates you, keep reading.

About Us

We’re a growing company based in the heart of Business Bay, one of Dubai’s busiest and most vibrant business districts. Our office runs on collaboration — and yes, a decent amount of coffee. We’re small enough that everyone knows your name, but established enough to offer proper structure, benefits, and room to grow. The front desk isn’t a corner of the office here; it’s the heartbeat of it. When guests arrive, when clients call, when a delivery needs sorting — you’re the one who makes it look effortless.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greet visitors with a genuine smile and make sure they feel looked after from the moment they arrive
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route enquiries to the right people without the runaround
  • Manage the reception area — keep it tidy, stocked, and welcoming (yes, that includes the coffee corner)
  • Handle basic admin tasks: filing, scanning, sorting mail, and keeping calendars in check
  • Coordinate with building management, couriers, and vendors when needed
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day office needs — from stationery runs to meeting prep

What You’ll Bring

Must-haves:

  • Clear, confident communication in English (spoken and written)
  • Basic computer skills — email, Word, Excel, and a willingness to learn new tools
  • A warm, professional manner and a knack for making people feel at ease
  • Reliability and punctuality — the front desk can’t run late

Nice-to-haves:

  • Previous reception or customer service experience
  • Arabic or another language — always a plus in Dubai
  • Familiarity with office phone systems or visitor management software

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Attitude and warmth go a long way here.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Salary AED 3,000 – 3,500 per month, paid on time, every time
  • Company visa — we handle the paperwork so you don’t have to
  • Accommodation and transportation provided, taking the stress out of Dubai living
  • Medical insurance for your peace of mind
  • Annual leave so you can actually rest and recharge
  • A supportive team that treats the front desk as a valued role, not a revolving door

Look, Dubai can feel like a whirlwind when you’re sorting out visas, housing, and transport on your own. We’ve built this package so you can focus on doing great work — and actually enjoy where you live. If you’re ready to be the face of a company that appreciates you, we’d love to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you'd handle a morning where three guests arrive at once, the main line is ringing, and a courier is waiting for a signature. What do you tackle first, and why?
  • Our reception area is the first impression clients get. What does a well-run front desk look like to you, and how would you keep ours feeling that way day after day?
  • You'll be using email, Word, and Excel daily, plus possibly a visitor management system. How comfortable are you picking up new software, and can you give an example of a tool you taught yourself?
  • A caller is frustrated and insists on speaking to a manager who's in a meeting. How do you calm them down and keep the situation under control without making promises you can't keep?
  • Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer or visitor. What happened, and what would you do differently now?
  • Since we're in Business Bay, you'll coordinate with building management, couriers, and vendors. Have you handled that kind of coordination before? How did you keep track of everything?
  • Describe a moment when you noticed something needed doing — a messy area, a low supply, a calendar clash — and you fixed it before anyone asked. What did you do?
  • How do you stay organized when you're juggling calls, messages, mail, and meeting prep all at once? Walk me through your system.
  • Reliability matters a lot at the front desk. Tell me about a time you had to be somewhere on time under difficult circumstances — how did you manage it?
  • This role involves greeting people from many different backgrounds. How do you make someone feel welcome when you've only got a few seconds?
  • What drew you to a receptionist role specifically, rather than a back-office or admin position?
  • We're a close-knit team where everyone pitches in. Can you share a time you helped a colleague with something outside your usual duties?
  • If you could

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

This salary range of AED 3,000–3,500 per month is typical for receptionist roles in Dubai, particularly for entry-level or early-career positions in growing companies. What makes this package stand out is the inclusion of company-provided visa, accommodation, transportation, and medical insurance — benefits that significantly reduce living costs and offer real value beyond the base pay. For someone looking to establish themselves in Dubai with stability and support, this role provides a solid foundation with room to grow.
