About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Imagine a front-row seat at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s vibrant fashion scene — that’s exactly what this Receptionist role offers. We’re looking for someone who loves both the buzzing energy of customer interaction and the quiet artistry of fine embroidery and crystal work. If you’re passionate about women’s clothing and want your days to be a creative mix of supervising skilled artisans and delighting clients, you just might feel right at home here.
About the Company
Nestled in Al Muroor, our tailoring shop is more than a boutique — it’s a gathering place for creativity, craftsmanship, and community. Our team is tight-knit, with tailors who swap design tips over morning tea and a regular clientele that feels like family. We pride ourselves on blending tradition with a sparkle of modernity: Friday afternoons might feature a spontaneous design brainstorm, and there’s always a bit of laughter in the workshop. Here, attention to detail isn’t just a job—it’s how we honor our craft and our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every visit feels special
- Supervising the workshop team: guiding staff, setting priorities, and following up on daily tasks, especially related to embroidery and crystal embellishments
- Overseeing all incoming orders and making sure each garment is progressing on schedule
- Reviewing quality—your experience means you’ll spot even the smallest flaws in embroidery or crystal work
- Acting as a key point of contact between customers and workshop, updating clients about the status of their orders
- Managing shop communications (in person, by phone, or WhatsApp), scheduling appointments, and keeping records organized
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Solid previous experience in women’s tailoring and garment construction
- Hands-on knowledge of embroidery techniques and crystal embellishing (you know the tools, materials, and best practices)
- Confidence in supervising a workshop team, including giving feedback and celebrating a job well done
- Good communication skills—in Arabic, English, or both!—to connect with staff and customers
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with popular local and regional women’s fashion trends
- Experience managing client appointments and shop orders in a digital system
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Supportive, family-style team—everyone’s opinion truly matters
- Opportunity to hone your craft: work daily with artisans who are passionate about detail
- Competitive salary and fair hours; overtime is rare and always pre-agreed
- Occasional team lunches and “preview days” for special new designs
- Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi — easy access and a lovely area to explore on breaks
We believe that good energy (plus a little creativity) makes all the difference. Here, you’ll find respect for your skills, room to grow, and a seat at the table where style decisions are made.
