About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever imagined what it’s like to be at the center of Dubai’s vibrant dining scene? Here’s your chance: we’re on the lookout for dedicated Waiters/Waitresses and a few stellar Cashiers/Tellers to join our thriving restaurant team. Whether you’re a seasoned hospitality pro or ready for your next big step, this is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to shape unforgettable dining experiences in one of the world’s most exciting cities. Ready to bring your energy and passion to the table?

About the Company

Nestled in the heart of Dubai, our restaurant has become something of a local icon — think chic interiors, inventive cuisine, and a diverse team that feels more like family than coworkers. We live for those moments when guests walk out with smiles and memories. Fridays? That’s when our kitchen staff try out new dishes for staff lunch (yes, they take requests!). Our ethos is simple: excellent service, mutual respect, and never missing an opportunity to celebrate a team win — no matter how small.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Waiter/Waitress:

    • Greeting guests warmly, guiding them through the menu, and helping curate their perfect meal.
    • Managing orders with precision and a dash of flair — speedy, but never rushed.
    • Keeping your section tidy, organized, and welcoming from open to close.
    • Handling special requests, dietary needs, or the occasional curveball with a smile.
    • Teaming up for smooth, memorable service during our famously busy evenings.
  • Cashier/Teller:

    • Welcoming guests at the register and handling transactions with accuracy and patience.
    • Managing the cash till, POS system, and receipts — detail is your middle name.
    • Answering guest questions about the menu, promotions, or loyalty programs.
    • Coordinating with waitstaff to ensure bills are always correct — no surprises for our guests.

What You’ll Bring

  • Must-Haves:

    • Proven experience in a hospitality/F&B environment (even better if that’s in Dubai).
    • Fluent communication skills in English; other languages are a real plus in our melting pot.
    • Genuine enthusiasm for great service — you light up when making someone’s day.
    • Ability to keep calm and upbeat, even on the busiest shifts.
    • For cashiers: basic math and computer literacy, with a knack for accuracy.
  • Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience working in upscale or fast-paced restaurants.
    • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems.
    • A little knowledge about food trends or wine never hurts!

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive tax-free salary, paid promptly every month
  • Staff meals (sometimes featuring sneak previews of new menu creations)
  • Flexible shifts and fair scheduling — we value work-life balance
  • Opportunities for promotions and professional growth — we love to promote from within
  • A genuinely diverse, positive team — everyone brings something unique to the table
  • Regular team events, staff appreciation programs, and training workshops

Here, you’ll join a close-knit crew that respects hard work and makes a point to celebrate together. It’s a place where the hustle is real, but so is the laughter. If you’re ready to take pride in what you do — and have a little fun along the way — you’ll fit right in.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you describe a time when you had to handle multiple tables during a particularly busy shift? How did you manage to keep both your service quality and organization on point?
  • When dealing with guests who have special dietary requirements or last-minute changes to their orders, how do you ensure their needs are met seamlessly?
  • For cashier roles: Tell us about your experience working with POS systems and how you double-check transactions for accuracy.
  • How do you make menu recommendations to guests who are undecided, and what strategies help you upsell without being pushy?
  • If a guest is dissatisfied with their meal or experience, what steps would you take to turn the situation around and leave them with a positive impression?
  • Describe a situation where you had to coordinate closely with your teammates to deliver outstanding service during a rush. What was your approach, and what was the outcome?
  • Working in a fast-paced Dubai restaurant means interacting with people from all over the world. How do you adjust your communication style to suit guests from diverse backgrounds?
  • Can you share an example of how you handled a cash discrepancy at the end of your shift?
  • How do you maintain focus and a positive attitude when working long or late shifts, especially on weekends or holidays?
  • Our team values mutual respect above all. How have you contributed to a positive and inclusive work environment in your previous roles?
  • What motivates you to deliver exceptional service, even on days when things feel repetitive or challenging?
  • Sometimes we test new menu items during staff lunches — how do you stay curious and keep learning about food and trends that delight our guests?
  • Flexibility is key here. Tell us about a time you adapted quickly to a last-minute change in your schedule or daily responsibilities.
  • What excites you most about joining a tight-knit team where celebrating small wins and supporting each other is part of the everyday culture?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For waiter, waitress, and cashier roles in Dubai’s hospitality industry, you should expect a salary of at least 2,500–4,000 AED per month, depending on your experience and the restaurant’s profile. Many reputable establishments in central Dubai, especially those with a strong reputation or higher-end clientele, tend to offer packages at the higher end of this range, sometimes with additional tips and benefits like staff meals and incentives. If you have previous experience in upscale venues or strong language skills, it’s reasonable to negotiate towards 3,500 AED or above.
