What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct thorough site inspections to proactively identify risks and potential hazards
- Ensure strict compliance with all UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Develop, implement, and regularly update safety policies and checklists tailored to dynamic site conditions
- Lead engaging safety inductions and toolbox talks for all site personnel (newcomers and veterans alike)
- Monitor daily work practices, promptly resolving any safety concerns or violations
- Prepare detailed incident and near-miss reports, and collaborate on root-cause analyses
- Stay on top of safety training needs and help coordinate relevant sessions
- Cultivate positive relationships with site supervisors, workers, and regulatory officers
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification
- Excellent observation skills and the confidence to speak up about safety concerns
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams
- A proactive, hands-on approach and genuine care for people’s well-being
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous work experience in Al Quoz or the greater Dubai area
