About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Ever walked into a high-rise in Abu Dhabi and wondered who keeps those silent, speedy elevators running without a hitch? Behind every seamless ride is a well-oiled maintenance operation—and behind that operation is someone who knows how to win the contracts. That’s where you come in. We’re on the hunt for an Outdoor Sales Executive who can hit the ground running, build genuine relationships, and open doors (pun intended) to new maintenance clients across the capital. If you’ve got the grit, the charm, and a solid network in the UAE’s technical services space, this could be your next big move.

About the Company

We’re not just another elevator company—we’re a team that takes vertical mobility seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. With years of experience under our belt, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, safety, and quick response times that building managers actually rave about. Our Abu Dhabi office has that energy of a place that’s growing—think less corporate maze, more collaborative workshop. We celebrate wins, we share leads (yes, really), and we believe that the best salespeople aren’t just closers; they’re problem-solvers who genuinely care about their clients’ buildings running smoothly. If you’re tired of being just a number, you’ll feel at home here.

What You’ll Be Doing

This isn’t a desk job—your office is the city. You’ll be out there, meeting facility managers, property developers, and building owners, turning cold calls into warm handshakes. Here’s a taste of what your week might look like:

  • Prospecting like a pro: Scouting Abu Dhabi’s commercial and residential towers, identifying buildings that need maintenance contracts, and figuring out who makes the decisions.
  • Face-to-face meetings: Pitching our maintenance packages in person—because email only gets you so far. You’ll present proposals, handle objections, and walk away with signed contracts.
  • Building a pipeline: Keeping your CRM updated (we’re not monsters—you won’t be drowning in admin, but you’ll keep track of your leads and follow-ups).
  • Negotiating smart: Balancing what the client wants with what makes sense for us. You’ll find the sweet spot that keeps both sides happy.
  • Market intel: Keeping an ear to the ground on new developments, competitor moves, and upcoming projects in Abu Dhabi that could turn into future accounts.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s been around the block—not necessarily in elevators, but definitely in outdoor sales. Here’s what we need to see:

Must-Haves:

  • UAE outdoor sales experience—you know the rhythm of the market, the etiquette of Emirati business culture, and how to get past a gatekeeper.
  • A technical knack or service sales background—whether it’s elevators, HVAC, fire safety, or any engineering service, you’ve sold something that requires explaining value beyond just price.
  • Serious lead-gen chops: You don’t wait for leads to fall in your lap; you create them. Cold calling, site visits, networking events—you’ve done it all.
  • Closing confidence: You know how to read a room, when to push, and when to listen.
  • Abu Dhabi street smarts: You know the city—the key districts, the major developers, the buildings that matter.
  • A valid UAE driving license and your own set of wheels (or access to one).
  • Transferable visa—we need someone who can start without lengthy sponsorship paperwork.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience selling maintenance contracts specifically (elevator or escalator experience is a huge plus).
  • A little black book of contacts in property management or facilities management.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English—it opens doors, literally.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. If you’ve got the hunger and the track record, we can train the technical side.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Let’s be real—sales can be a grind. But we make it worth your while.

  • Earning potential that rewards effort: A solid base salary plus a commission structure that actually pays out. No caps, no games.
  • Freedom to move: You’re not micromanaged. We care about results, not whether you’re at your desk by 8:59 AM.
  • A brand that sells itself: Our reputation precedes us. When you walk into a meeting, they’ve often heard of us—that makes your job easier.
  • Support when you need it: Technical teams, proposals, and after-sales support that doesn’t drop the ball. You won’t be left promising things we can’t deliver.
  • Growth potential: As we expand in Abu Dhabi, the top performers get first dibs on senior roles and bigger territories.

At the end of the day, this is a role where your effort directly shapes your income and your career trajectory. You’ll be the face of a company that’s on the rise, in a city that never stops building. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, let’s talk.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you typically identify and prioritize new maintenance contract opportunities across Abu Dhabi’s commercial and residential towers. Where do you start, and what makes you decide a lead is worth chasing?

  • Give me an example of a time you took a cold call and turned it into a face-to-face meeting. What was your approach, and what ultimately got you through the door?

  • When you’re pitching a technical service like elevator maintenance, how do you explain value beyond just the price tag? Can you share a specific objection you overcame and how you handled it?

  • What’s your process for keeping your CRM updated without letting admin eat into your selling time? How do you stay consistent with follow-ups when you’re juggling multiple prospects?

  • Tell me about a negotiation where you had to balance a client’s demands with what made sense for your company. How did you find the middle ground, and what was the outcome?

  • How familiar are you with Abu Dhabi’s key districts and major developers? Give me a sense of which areas or building types you already know well and where you’d need to build your network.

  • Describe a time you lost a deal you really wanted. What did you learn from it, and how did you adjust your approach moving forward?

  • Imagine you’ve just signed a maintenance contract with a property manager, but a few weeks later they call with a complaint about response times. How do you handle that conversation, knowing you’re the one who sold them on us?

  • What does “genuine relationship building” mean to you in a sales context? Can you share an example of a client relationship that went beyond just business, and how it benefited both sides?

  • This role is about being out in the city, not at a desk. How do you stay motivated and organized when you’re working independently for most of the day?

  • We’re a growing team that shares leads and celebrates wins together. Tell me

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

Based on the outdoor sales nature of this role and the technical service industry, you should expect a base salary of at least 8,000 to 12,000 AED per month in Abu Dhabi. Similar technical sales roles in the UAE usually offer this range for candidates with a proven track record, and with the uncapped commission structure mentioned, your total monthly earnings could realistically reach 15,000 to 20,000 AED once you hit your stride. Given that you're bringing UAE market knowledge and a transferable visa, don't settle for less than 10,000 AED as your starting base if you have solid closing experience.
