About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever tried weaving together the needs of clients, contractors, and government authorities—all while keeping mega-projects on track in a city that never stops growing? That’s the daily thrill (and challenge) of our Stakeholder Manager role, and we’re looking for someone who thrives on exactly that. If you know local approvals like the back of your hand, speak the language of municipal teams, and love juggling moving parts in construction or infrastructure, there’s a place for your expertise in our Abu Dhabi and Dubai operations. This isn’t just about paperwork—it’s about real relationships and getting things done in the fast lane of the UAE development scene.

About the Company

Here, you’ll find a motley crew of engineers, planners, and project managers—each with a lot of local stories and more than a few inside jokes about traffic diversions and building codes. We’re passionate about shaping skylines, but we’re just as serious about our Friday lunches and occasional after-work football matches. In a business that’s rapidly picking up the pace, we’re proud to keep a start-up spirit: fast on our feet, collaborative in decisions, and always open to fresh ideas (even unconventional ones, provided you can justify them over coffee). Our teams work closely, and you’ll find support flows as easily as emails—maybe more so.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building, nurturing, and managing robust relationships with key authorities, government entities, utilities, and third-party stakeholders across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
  • Acting as the point of contact for all stakeholder liaison on building and infrastructure projects: everything from NOCs to final hand-over.
  • Steering the approvals process, tracking permit and NOC requests, and identifying where things could snag (so that they don’t).
  • Navigating local regulations and compliance requirements, translating technical speak into action (and vice versa).
  • Preemptively resolving conflicts, anticipating concerns, and communicating with clarity—even when the heat is on.
  • Regularly updating the wider project team on approval status, legislative changes, and those ever-evolving authority requirements.
  • Leveraging your prior connections—especially in Abu Dhabi Falah—to move even the stickiest processes forward.
  • Suggesting ways to shorten timelines, improve communication, or even tweak the design if it aids approval—your voice will be heard.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • 5 to 8 years of stakeholder management experience in the UAE construction or infrastructure space.
  • Deep knowledge of local authorities, approval processes, NOCs, permits, and relevant UAE regulations.
  • Demonstrated success liaising with authorities, especially in Abu Dhabi (connections in Falah are a true asset).
  • An engineering degree (civil, mechanical, electrical—or something adjacent).
  • Clear communication skills and a knack for diplomacy in high-stakes, multicultural environments.
  • A record of keeping complex projects moving smoothly despite all manner of red tape.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Arabic language skills.
  • Experience working across both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
  • Proficiency in relevant project management or tracking tools.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)

  • Competitive, locally benchmarked salary, plus annual bonus potential.
  • Modern offices in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the flexibility to shift between sites—and remote days when duties allow.
  • Transparent leadership team that’s open to honest feedback (yes, really).
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including authority briefings and project leadership training.
  • Health insurance, annual travel allowance, and generous leave policy.
  • A close-knit team who’ll have your back—whether on a tight deadline or the company football pitch.

This is the kind of place where your expertise truly matters and your relationships turn into real project wins. If you enjoy the satisfaction of smoothing the way for landmark buildings and ambitious infrastructure, you’ll feel right at home with us.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through the steps you typically follow to secure NOCs and permits for infrastructure projects in the UAE, especially when multiple authorities are involved?
  • Tell us about a time you encountered resistance from a local authority on a project—how did you overcome the challenge and ensure project timelines stayed on track?
  • Which government entities and utility providers have you worked with most extensively in Abu Dhabi and Dubai? How have you leveraged these connections to expedite approvals?
  • How do you stay up-to-date with changing legislation or requirements from different municipalities, and how do you ensure your project teams are informed promptly?
  • Describe a situation where you identified a potential bottleneck in the approvals process before it escalated. What actions did you take, and what was the outcome?
  • What project management or tracking tools are you most comfortable with for monitoring approval workflows and communication with stakeholders?
  • When translating technical engineering requirements for a non-technical audience—such as government representatives or community members—what strategies do you use to make sure your message is clear?
  • Share an example where you had to mediate between contractors, clients, and authority representatives to resolve a conflict. What approach did you take, and what was the result?
  • Imagine a project’s timeline is threatened because a key NOC is delayed from a specific municipal office. How would you handle communication with your team and external partners in this high-pressure situation?
  • How do you foster trust and long-term relationships with stakeholders, especially in a fast-paced, multicultural environment like Abu Dhabi or Dubai?
  • Our team values unconventional ideas—can you recall a time when you suggested a creative solution that improved communication or accelerated an approvals process?
  • What do you enjoy most about stakeholder management in the UAE’s construction scene, and what keeps you motivated through complex, high-stakes projects?
  • How would you approach integrating into our tight-knit, collaborative team, especially given our start-up spirit and emphasis on open feedback?
  • Outside of work, do you have any interests or

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 22,000 to 28,000 AED per month for a Stakeholder Manager role with 5–8 years’ experience in the UAE construction or infrastructure sector, particularly if you have solid connections with local authorities and a proven approvals track record. Similar positions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi often fall within this range, and candidates with experience managing complex multi-stakeholder projects—and especially those fluent in Arabic—may find opportunities at the higher end or above, especially if bonuses or allowances are included.
