About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ready to lead a passionate team and make every customer’s day a little sweeter? We’re searching for an experienced Supervisor to join us in our mission to delight dessert lovers, one slice at a time. As the backbone of our branch, you’ll blend hands-on leadership with a sharp eye for smooth operations. If you love the energy of a thriving bakery—and take pride in both happy staff and customers—this might be the perfect next step.
About the Company
We started as a small family bakery, but word about our cakes and desserts spread fast—so here we are, serving up treats across the city! Our team is a lively mix of seasoned bakers, creative decorators, and friendly faces at the counter. We’re serious about quality but never too serious to celebrate a staff birthday (with cake, of course). Growth is in our DNA, but what makes us special is the genuine care we show—both in our recipes and how we treat each other.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Guiding and supporting your team to keep our branch running like clockwork, even during the lunchtime rush.
- Monitoring daily and weekly sales, celebrating wins and rolling up your sleeves if goals need a boost.
- Ensuring every cake, tart, and pastry leaving the counter meets our high standards for taste, freshness, and presentation.
- Troubleshooting challenges—from staff scheduling hiccups to the occasional customer concern—with calm, solutions-focused energy.
- Encouraging top-tier customer service at every step, turning first-time shoppers into loyal fans.
- Playing a hands-on role on busy days, whether that means helping at the register or supporting the kitchen when the orders just keep coming.
- Working closely with management to share feedback, brainstorm improvements, and keep the branch a place people love to visit (and work!).
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role—ideally in retail, hospitality, or food service.
- A natural knack for motivating people and creating a positive, supportive team environment.
- Strong organizational skills: you can juggle schedules, sales targets, and quality checks without missing a beat.
- Clear communication in both calm and challenging moments; if something’s off, you address it directly and constructively.
- Genuine passion for great service and happy customers—no detail is too small.
- Comfort using basic sales or point-of-sale systems (we’ll show you the ropes if you’re unfamiliar!).
- Willingness to occasionally work weekends, especially during busy seasons.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here (Benefits & Perks)
- Competitive salary, paid promptly—no surprises at the end of the month.
- Enjoy generous employee discounts on all our cakes and desserts (sweet tooth beware).
- Supportive, close-knit team that values your ideas—great work never goes unnoticed.
- Flexible shifts and genuine respect for work/life balance.
- Personal and professional growth opportunities as our company expands—it’s not just a job, it’s a career path.
- Welcoming workspace, where laughter and good food are part of the daily routine.
Here, you’re not just supervising a shop—you’re joining a community that celebrates the little joys (and big successes) together. If you’re ready to lead with heart and hustle, come make your mark with us!
