About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered how a smooth factory floor stays so smooth? It’s usually thanks to someone with an eagle eye for details and a knack for order — maybe someone like you. We’re looking for a Storekeeper to be the backbone of our inventory operations here at our aluminum and glass manufacturing facility. Your daily mission: ensure every sheet of glass and bar of aluminum is exactly where it ought to be, ready for our skilled production teams. It’s a key role that puts you at the heart of the action, with the satisfaction of knowing the entire workflow relies on your diligence.
About the Company
We’re a growing name in the aluminum and glass industry, with a reputation for both quality craftsmanship and committed teamwork. Our workspace buzzes with energy, from early morning planning huddles to the end-of-week shout-outs for a job well done. You’ll often find our managers rolling up their sleeves right beside the team — and yes, we do have the occasional friendly debate over the best way to label a shelf. Our philosophy? When storage runs like clockwork, innovation is just around the corner.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming aluminum profiles, glass sheets, hardware, and accessories
- Systematically storing materials in their correct locations to optimize safety and efficiency
- Maintaining up-to-date manual and digital inventory records (Excel sheets, inventory software, or both)
- Organizing regular stock checks and flagging any discrepancies or low stock levels to production leads
- Preparing materials for dispatch — accuracy and a careful touch are key here
- Collaborating closely with production and procurement teams to ensure everyone has what they need, when they need it
- Keeping the storage area tidy, safe, and compliant with all regulations (and, let’s be honest, just plain pleasant to work in)
- Assisting with problem-solving if a part or shipment goes missing — yes, detective skills sometimes required!
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Previous experience in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management role (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with solid attention to detail — you spot errors others miss
- Confidence using both paper-based systems and basic digital inventory tools (bonus points for Excel whizzes)
- Ability to safely handle and move aluminum profiles and glass sheets (training provided, but a safety-first mindset essential)
- Clear communicator, comfortable checking in with colleagues across different teams
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in the aluminum, glass, or hardware sector
- Familiarity with stock management software, ERP systems, or barcode scanning
- Basic understanding of workplace health & safety standards
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary package and paid annual leave
- Supportive team culture that values your input (and celebrates milestones together)
- Opportunities to build your skills — whether it’s through cross-training, mentorship, or learning the latest digital inventory tricks
- Modern, well-organized storage spaces (no climbing over mystery boxes here)
- Regular staff gatherings and little perks that make the workweek smoother
- Steady work schedule with respect for your time outside the workplace
Here, you’re more than just a number — you’re the reason our production lines keep humming, and your efforts truly matter. If you’re ready to bring order and care to a high-paced environment, we can’t wait to meet you.
