What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and mentoring a team of 10–15 mechanics, fostering a collaborative and positive workshop culture
- Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues across a wide range of brands—no two days are quite the same
- Recommending and sourcing all types of automotive spare parts, weighing cost, quality, and customer needs
- Working closely with customers, listening to their concerns, explaining repairs, and ensuring their satisfaction at every step
- Tracking workshop productivity and workflow to keep repair times efficient and quality standards sky-high
- Keeping detailed records for jobs, maintenance schedules, and inventory—you know the difference between tidy and “where did that go?”
- Spearheading business development: building new client relationships, strengthening existing ones, and identifying opportunities for growth
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging repair technologies, and sharing that knowledge with your team
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Strong background in both mechanical and electrical vehicle repairs, ideally across multiple brands
- Previous experience managing (or supervising) a team in an automotive workshop setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially when the answer isn’t obvious
- Solid knowledge of automotive spare parts sourcing and optimal repair solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with customers and deliver outstanding service
- Strong organizational and communication skills—juggling priorities comes naturally to you
