About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever pictured yourself at the heart of a bustling workshop, orchestrating a team of talented mechanics while problem-solving on the fly? If you have a knack for all things automotive and love the challenge of leading a skilled crew, we just might have your next adventure. We're searching for an experienced Workshop Manager who brings deep expertise in both mechanical and electrical repairs—plus the drive to make every customer’s experience exceptional. This isn’t your average garage; you’ll be overseeing multi-brand vehicle repairs and shaping the way our business grows.

About the Company

We’re a hands-on, solutions-oriented auto service provider that’s proud of our reputation for technical know-how and trustworthy service. Our workshop isn’t just about fixing vehicles—it’s where local relationships are built, new repair solutions are tested, and Friday afternoons sometimes mean team lunch with a side of shop talk. We’re growing steadily, and our leadership still values rolling up their sleeves and lending insight right on the shop floor. Supportive, resourceful, and just a little bit competitive, our crew celebrates the big wins and pulls together when things get tricky.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and mentoring a team of 10–15 mechanics, fostering a collaborative and positive workshop culture
  • Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues across a wide range of brands—no two days are quite the same
  • Recommending and sourcing all types of automotive spare parts, weighing cost, quality, and customer needs
  • Working closely with customers, listening to their concerns, explaining repairs, and ensuring their satisfaction at every step
  • Tracking workshop productivity and workflow to keep repair times efficient and quality standards sky-high
  • Keeping detailed records for jobs, maintenance schedules, and inventory—you know the difference between tidy and “where did that go?”
  • Spearheading business development: building new client relationships, strengthening existing ones, and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging repair technologies, and sharing that knowledge with your team

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Strong background in both mechanical and electrical vehicle repairs, ideally across multiple brands
  • Previous experience managing (or supervising) a team in an automotive workshop setting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially when the answer isn’t obvious
  • Solid knowledge of automotive spare parts sourcing and optimal repair solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with customers and deliver outstanding service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills—juggling priorities comes naturally to you
  • Business development mindset with real examples of growing a workshop or client base

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Certifications in automotive repair or workshop management
  • Familiarity with digital workshop management tools or software
  • A creative approach to shop floor challenges and motivating your crew

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary, plus performance-driven incentives
  • Supportive company culture that values teamwork, expertise, and initiative
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a growing workshop and influence the way we do business
  • Access to professional development—think specialized training, or attending industry events
  • Tools and resources you need (and some you just want) to do your best work
  • Friendly, family-like team where your contributions are noticed—yes, even on the tough days
  • Flexible scheduling options and respect for life outside the shop

You’ll join a place where your leadership and know-how make a real difference, every single day. Our team is waiting to welcome the next puzzle-solver, motivator, and business builder—could that be you?
