About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered how an entire city comes together, detail by detail, drawing by drawing? As an Architect Engineer/BIM 6D Coordinator in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, you’ll do more than just dream about it — you’ll be right in the thick of it. This isn’t your traditional design role: we’re looking for someone who understands the architecture ecosystem and thrives at the crossroads of cutting-edge tech and inspired design. If shaping Abu Dhabi’s urban future excites you, this might just be your next big move.
About the Company
Think of us as a partnership of forward-thinkers: a leading design and consultancy office rooted in the UAE’s growth story. We combine deep local knowledge with a passion for global best practices — and yes, our teams really do swap ideas over Arabic coffee and spontaneous whiteboard sessions. At our core? Meticulous attention to detail, a genuine respect for craft, and a drive to set new industry benchmarks. Here, we celebrate the kind of curiosity that asks, “What if?” and the teamwork that makes those answers real.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development, coordination, and management of BIM 6D models for large-scale architectural projects in MBZ City
- Bridging the gap between architecture, engineering, and project management teams, ensuring everyone’s speaking the same (digital) language
- Implementing and refining BIM workflows to streamline design processes and enhance sustainability, cost analysis, and facility management
- Regularly liaising with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate feedback and push projects forward
- Creating detailed architectural drawings, specs, and presentations that wow clients and hold up to regulatory scrutiny
- Training and mentoring junior team members in BIM best practices and software updates — you’ll be the go-to guru
- Keeping tabs on industry trends, software releases, and innovative 6D applications; championing what makes sense for the team
- Troubleshooting complex BIM issues without losing your cool — or your sense of humor
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of architectural experience, with an emphasis on BIM implementation and coordination (preferably in the UAE/GCC)
- Mastery of Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360; comfort with interoperability between platforms
- Experience with 6D BIM (cost, lifecycle, and sustainability integration) on real-world projects
- Collaborative spirit and clear, confident communication — you’re just as good in a client meeting as you are behind the screen
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
Nice-to-Haves
- LEED accreditation or similar sustainability credential
- Knowledge of UAE building codes and local authority requirements
- Familiarity with automation/scripting in Dynamo, Python, or similar tools
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary tailored to the UAE market (we know your skills are valuable!)
- Flexible work arrangements — partial remote options after onboarding
- Ongoing training and professional development budget; we want you on the cutting edge
- Annual company retreats (think desert safaris and innovation workshops)
- Medical insurance, annual flight allowance, and generous leave policy
- Energetic, international team that values your voice and welcomes big ideas
In short, you’ll join a close-knit, forward-facing crew that believes great design doesn’t just shape buildings, but transforms cities — and careers. We’re excited to meet you.
