About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what goes into building the very foundations of modern cities? As a Skilled Block Machine Operator with us in Al Ain, you’ll play a crucial part in a factory where concrete blocks and interlocks are crafted to exacting standards. This isn’t just about pushing buttons — it’s hands-on work with tangible results, where your expertise keeps the wheels (and the belts and mixers!) running smoothly. If you take pride in seeing solid, useful things made from raw materials and teamwork, this role could be your next corner to turn.
About the Company
We’re a tight-knit outfit specializing in high-quality concrete products — and we’ve carved out a reputation in Al Ain for reliability, precision, and a work culture where everyone has a say. Our mornings kick off with strong tea and a quick team huddle (no exceptions!), and by mid-shift, you’ll know everyone by name. Whether we’re perfecting a new interlock design or firing up the old block press, there’s a real sense that we’re building something important here, brick by brick.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate block and brick production machines with careful attention — think start-up, monitoring, troubleshooting, and regular calibration.
- Prepare and mix raw materials (cement, sand, aggregates, and the occasional secret ingredient) to precise proportions according to daily production specs.
- Keep a watchful eye for machine irregularities, reporting issues before they slow your team down.
- Maintain batch records and basic paperwork — nothing fancy, just enough to keep things organized when the supervisor asks.
- Clean and perform basic routine maintenance on machinery — you’ll know the difference between a quick dust-off and when it’s time to call in the mechanics.
- Collaborate with fellow operators and forklift drivers to keep the production line moving safely and efficiently.
- Pitch in with loading/unloading materials or finished products as needed — it’s a team effort all the way.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience operating block/bricks/interlock production machinery (even if it’s only a year or two — know your way around the basics)
- Familiarity with preparing and mixing raw materials such as cement, sand, and aggregates
- Good physical condition — this is active, sometimes dusty work
- Basic troubleshooting skills when it comes to machinery
- Strong sense of safety and responsibility around industrial equipment
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous work in a blocks or precast concrete factory
- Ability to read simple mechanical or batching instructions
- Willingness to pick up new skills and help train newcomers
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with opportunities for overtime
- Workwear and safety equipment provided – and replaced, not just once!
- Supportive, down-to-earth teammates who’ll show you the ropes (and the lunch spots nearby)
- Clear shift patterns so you know what to expect each week
- Room to move up — good operators here often train as supervisors or mechanics
- Enjoy a sense of camaraderie every day — we celebrate milestones, birthdays, and smashing our monthly production record
If you like real, honest work where you go home having built something, you’ll probably fit right in. And if you’ve been itching to join a team that values reliability and mutual respect, we might be exactly what you’re looking for.
