Introduction

Ever thought about how critical strong government ties are to business success? As a Business Development and Government Relations Officer, you'll be at the heart of these intersections, helping our team navigate regulations while unlocking new market opportunities. We're looking for someone who thrives on building relationships and can spot a business opportunity from a mile away—all while keeping compliance and strategy top of mind. If you enjoy the challenge of working in a field where every handshake and document matters, you’ll find this role both rewarding and engaging.

About the Company

Picture a team where collaboration is celebrated and no two days look quite the same. We’re a rapidly growing company with a finger on the pulse of our industry, combining entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine sense of community. Weekly team huddles, open-door feedback (literally and figuratively), and the occasional celebratory lunch when we hit big milestones—these things matter to us. We pride ourselves on navigating change as a team and never losing sight of the people behind the process.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with key government entities and officials
  • Navigating and managing processes on relevant government platforms—think visas, permits, and documentation—ensuring everything is accurate and timely
  • Identifying new business opportunities, preparing and presenting tailored proposals and quotations that meet clients’ and stakeholders’ unique needs
  • Monitoring industry trends, regulations, and policy changes, providing strategic insights to inform business decisions
  • Negotiating terms and agreements with external partners in a way that’s win-win
  • Acting as the go-to point of contact for all matters related to licensing, permits, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborating closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to align processes and resolve challenges quickly

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in government relations and business development
  • Valid residency permit and sponsorship by your family (non-negotiable for this role)
  • Up-to-date driver’s license
  • Strong negotiation skills—you’re comfortable at the table with anyone
  • High proficiency in using all government online platforms and e-portals
  • Experience preparing quotations and navigating procurement processes
  • Solid communication skills in both spoken and written formats

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Working knowledge of additional compliance or legal documentation processes
  • Familiarity with the local business landscape and established network within relevant government bodies
  • Multilingual abilities always catch our eye

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Fixed, reliable salary with potential for growth as you do
  • Supportive, inclusive team culture—your ideas won’t just be heard, they’ll be valued
  • Room to explore new business angles and make your mark
  • Opportunity to work closely with both leaders and rising stars in the company
  • Flexible approach to leave and working hours, with respect for family commitments
  • Regular learning opportunities and access to on-the-job mentoring

We know that people drive our business forward. If building bridges—literally and figuratively—appeals to you, you’ll enjoy becoming part of our story.
