About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how Dubai’s skyline keeps reaching new heights? As a Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in shaping the city’s residential, commercial, and mixed-use marvels, you know what it takes. We’re searching for an experienced, sharp-minded talent ready to bring their expertise to our tight-knit engineering consultancy — and, quite frankly, make an impact on some of the region’s most exciting projects.

About the Company

We’re not “just” another engineering consultancy. Our firm has been quietly influencing the built environment across Dubai for years — and not just through blueprints and site visits. We’re a passionate group who believe in practical solutions, creative thinking, and supporting each other’s growth. Here, you might run into spirited debates about construction tech over breakfast, or join our Friday ‘project pit-stop’ sessions, where teamwork and problem-solving shine. If you love a collaborative workplace where your contributions are seen and valued, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing site supervision for a range of ongoing developments, making certain that every detail matches approved plans and local codes.
  • Coordinating between multidisciplinary teams — architects, MEP engineers, contractors, you name it — to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Reviewing and approving detailed engineering designs, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Conducting site inspections and progress meetings, identifying risks and proposing practical, timely solutions on the ground.
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for clients, clarifying requirements and resolving site queries with confidence.
  • Keeping a close eye on project timelines, quality control, and compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Preparing regular reports and documentation, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders at every stage.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends, new construction materials, and best practices (and sharing those insights with the team).

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (accredited institution).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience within the UAE working in an engineering consultancy environment.
  • Solid background in site supervision and project coordination (residential, commercial, multi-use developments).
  • Thorough understanding of local engineering standards, Dubai Municipality codes, and relevant authority procedures.
  • Strong communication in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Membership with UAE Society of Engineers.
  • Familiarity with BIM applications or new digital construction tools.
  • A knack for mentoring junior team members.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package based on your experience and strengths.
  • Medical insurance coverage and annual leave that actually gives you a break.
  • Support for professional development and training — we genuinely want you to grow with us.
  • Friendly, supportive team culture: we celebrate wins (big and small) and have each other’s backs.
  • Dynamic project portfolio — no two days or sites are ever quite the same.
  • Dubai office location, with flexibility for in-field work and periodic remote coordination.
  • A workplace that values both technical excellence and human connection.

Join us, and let’s shape Dubai’s next chapter together. If you want your expertise to count — and to feel part of a team that treats your ideas with respect — you’ll feel right at home.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a recent project where you were responsible for site supervision in Dubai, and describe how you ensured compliance with local codes and regulations?
  • How do you approach reviewing engineering designs and shop drawings to catch potential issues before they affect construction?
  • Tell us about a time you had to coordinate between multiple disciplines—such as architects, MEP engineers, and contractors. What challenges did you face, and how did you resolve them to keep the project moving forward?
  • Which UAE authority procedures and Dubai Municipality codes do you find most crucial in your day-to-day work, and how do you keep yourself and your team updated on any changes?
  • How have you used AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other industry-standard software to streamline project documentation and design review processes?
  • Can you give an example of identifying a major site risk during an inspection and the steps you took to address it swiftly and effectively?
  • Describe a situation where a client or stakeholder had conflicting requirements. How did you clarify expectations and achieve a resolution?
  • What steps do you take to ensure clear, consistent communication and reporting with all project stakeholders, especially when working under tight deadlines?
  • Have you incorporated BIM applications or other digital construction tools in your recent projects? If so, how did they improve project execution or coordination?
  • Our team often holds open discussions and ‘project pit-stop’ sessions to troubleshoot and share ideas. How comfortable are you with sharing insights, giving feedback, or leading mini knowledge sessions?
  • Supporting each other and sharing knowledge are core parts of our culture. Can you tell us about a time you mentored junior colleagues or contributed to a collaborative team environment?
  • What motivates you to stay updated on construction industry trends and new materials, and how do you share these insights with your team?
  • When juggling multiple projects and teams, how do you manage your time and priorities to ensure high-quality outcomes?
  • What drew you to our consultancy, and how do you see yourself contributing to our vision of combining

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a civil engineering professional with at least 7 years of experience in Dubai—especially one handling site supervision and client coordination for major developments— you should expect a salary of at least 15,000–22,000 AED per month, depending on your specific experience and credentials. Similar roles in established consultancies in the UAE often offer additional benefits like medical insurance and annual leave as part of the overall package, so don’t hesitate to consider the full compensation when negotiating your offer.
