What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and reviewing scaffolding structures tailored to a variety of challenging project needs
- Preparing detailed material estimates and cost breakdowns for scaffolding works
- Supervising scaffolding erection and dismantling activities, both on construction and maintenance sites
- Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring compliance with local regulations and best practices
- Collaborating with project managers, foremen, and safety officers to coordinate schedules and resolve on-site challenges
- Providing technical guidance to the scaffolding crew, mentoring junior engineers as needed
- Keeping records up-to-date, including daily reports, inspection checklists, and incident logs
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders to ensure all scaffolding requirements are understood and met
- Continuously seeking innovative, safer, and more efficient scaffolding solutions and materials
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in scaffolding design, estimation, and site supervision
- Deep knowledge of scaffolding systems, load-bearing calculations, and construction safety standards
- Familiarity with local and international scaffolding regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design/drafting software
- Strong communication skills—you’ll need to translate technical terms for clients, colleagues, and site teams
- A proactive, “let’s solve it” attitude, especially when facing unexpected challenges on-site
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certification in scaffolding safety, inspection, or design
- Previous experience in both new builds and facility maintenance environments
