About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever pictured yourself at the heart of a project, guiding crews and trades to bring a client’s vision to life? As our next Civil & Finishing Works Foreman, you won’t just oversee the details — you’ll shape skylines. This is a hands-on, site-based role with the perfect blend of leadership, problem-solving, and craftsmanship. If you’re someone who spots opportunity in challenges and pride in every precise finish, you might just fit right in.

About the Company

We’re a UAE-born construction company that believes attention to detail isn’t optional — it’s our signature. Our team is tight-knit, solution-focused, and thrives on seeing impressive spaces come together, from the ground up to the last luxurious touch. You’ll find us swapping stories over karak at sunrise, working as one unit to deliver projects we’re all proud to call our own. Here, Friday site walk-throughs double as masterclasses in both efficiency and camaraderie.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising daily civil and architectural finishing works, ensuring every deadline and design spec is met
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, site laborers, and suppliers for smooth workflow and quick resolution of hiccups
  • Reviewing drawings, layouts, and schedules, translating plans into practical site action
  • Overseeing installation of finishing materials (think: flooring, partitions, ceilings, paint, joinery, and more)
  • Inspecting workmanship onsite, proactively catching snags early — and rallying the team to fix them fast
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards (a tidy site is a happy site)
  • Keeping clients and project engineers updated on progress, challenges, and creative solutions
  • Supporting site logistics, from resource allocation to timely reporting and documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Must-Haves:

    • 3–5 years hands-on experience in civil works and high-end finishing on UAE sites
    • Practical knowledge of site management practices and finishing works (gypsum, painting, tiling, joinery, etc.)
    • Strong leadership — you know how to get the best from site teams without breaking a sweat
    • Detail-oriented, with a knack for problem-solving on the fly
    • Valid UAE Driving License (yes, you’ll actually need it — sites wait for no one)
    • Basic English or Arabic speaking/writing skills (clear communication is key!)
  • Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience with both commercial and residential projects
    • Familiarity with site software or digital reporting tools
    • Ability to read structural and architectural drawings with ease

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive, always-on-time salary
  • Single status accommodation or housing allowance
  • Company vehicle and fuel allowance
  • Supportive leadership — no stuffy hierarchy here
  • Paid annual leave, plus all UAE public holidays
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Growth opportunities with a team that prefers mentoring to micro-managing
  • Energized, friendly atmosphere where your experience and insights genuinely matter

You’ll be joining a motivated group that believes a great foreman can make or break a job — and we intend to make every site a showcase for what’s possible when expertise and teamwork come together. If you’re looking for more than “just another project,” this could be your next big step.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your experience coordinating and supervising high-end finishing works on UAE construction sites? What types of projects and materials have you worked with most extensively?
  • When reviewing architectural and structural drawings, how do you ensure you’re translating design intent accurately into site execution?
  • Describe how you typically plan daily activities and allocate resources among laborers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep up with tight project deadlines.
  • Tell us about a time when you spotted a snag in finishing works (for example, with joinery, tiling, or painting) before handover. How did you coordinate your team to resolve it quickly?
  • What steps do you take to maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards on site, especially during periods of high activity or multiple trades working simultaneously?
  • Have you used any site management or digital reporting tools before? If so, which ones, and how did they help you streamline your workflow?
  • Imagine you’re facing a major materials delay that impacts your finishing schedule. How would you handle communication with clients, suppliers, and your project engineer while keeping work progressing?
  • Give an example of a situation where there were conflicting priorities between trades or subcontractors on your site. How did you resolve the issue and keep the project on track?
  • Site teams can be diverse and sometimes challenging to motivate. What’s your approach to fostering teamwork and keeping morale high, especially under pressure?
  • How do you ensure clear and effective communication with laborers and subcontractors who may have varying levels of English or Arabic proficiency?
  • What motivates you about working hands-on and being present on site, rather than in a more office-based supervisory role?
  • Our team values both efficiency and camaraderie. How would you contribute to a culture where sharing knowledge and supporting each other is the norm?
  • Have you ever brought a creative or out-of-the-box solution to a finishing work challenge? What was the impact on the project and your team?
