About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Looking for your next big step in construction management? At Altelal Contracting, we’re searching for a talented Construction Manager to join us in Ajman’s bustling Al Jerf Industrial Area 1. If you thrive on the buzz of bringing projects to life and know the ins and outs of the UAE construction scene, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Here, your hands-on leadership will be key in turning architectural blueprints into reality — all while shaping the future landscape of Ajman.

About the Company

Altelal Contracting has built a reputation in Ajman for tackling projects that are as ambitious as they are complex. We’re a tight-knit group that values open communication and hands-on teamwork (don’t be surprised if the site office feels more like a second home some days). Our team is passionate about getting things done right; everyone pitches in, and Friday mornings often come with a weekly team breakfast to kick off the weekend on a high note. As a company, we’re growing steadily, and we believe in supporting our people with meaningful responsibilities and the autonomy to do their best work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing daily operations on multiple construction sites, ensuring everything runs smoothly from ground-breaking to handover.
  • Coordinating closely with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to keep projects on track and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Creating and managing detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; you’ll keep timelines realistic and spending in check.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with UAE construction safety standards, and promoting a culture where everyone goes home safely.
  • Reviewing project plans and drawings, offering hands-on input to make sure technical details are executed to spec.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting site teams — your on-the-ground leadership sets the tone for productivity and morale.
  • Reporting progress to senior management and clients, turning technical updates into actionable insights.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on medium-to-large projects in the UAE.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills — you know how to get the best out of your team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UAE building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling software (primavera, MS Project, or similar tools).
  • Fluent English communication skills (Arabic is a strong plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience working in Ajman or surrounding Northern Emirates.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices or green certifications.
  • A knack for troubleshooting on-the-spot — sometimes the best solutions happen at the jobsite trailer.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package with performance-based bonuses.
  • Supportive, close-knit team; you won’t be just another face on-site.
  • Opportunities to take ownership of projects and grow your portfolio.
  • Regular team events and site gatherings — we genuinely enjoy working (and celebrating) together.
  • Modern office and on-site facilities; everything you need to succeed is at your fingertips.
  • Flexible approach to work-life balance, because we understand the demands of construction life.

At Altelal Contracting, you’re not just overseeing projects — you’re shaping the fabric of a growing city, surrounded by a team that values expertise, transparency, and camaraderie. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and build something meaningful, let’s talk.

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 18,000–25,000 AED per month for a Construction Manager role in the UAE, especially with proven experience handling medium-to-large projects. Similar positions in Ajman and the Northern Emirates typically offer packages in this range, often with additional benefits or bonuses depending on the company’s size and the complexity of their projects.
