About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to take a client’s vision from rough sketches on a coffee napkin to intricate designs on paper—and then see those designs become reality? At Special Touch Engineering Consultancy L C S P C, we’re looking for a skilled Draftsman (2D & 3D) to join our growing team in Shabiya 09, Mussafah, right across from Al Ain University. If you’re ready to take on projects that genuinely shape the local skyline, and you thrive on turning ideas into practical plans, let’s talk.
About the Company
We’re not your typical engineering consultancy. Special Touch Engineering started out as a small, determined group—now, our projects dot the landscape all across Abu Dhabi. Innovation, accuracy, and a passion for thoughtful design drive us every day. You’ll often find us celebrating project milestones over coffee and snacks. We value teamwork, open feedback, and giving each individual the space to shine. Fridays? That’s when we share progress, ask the tough questions, and swap a few jokes before the weekend.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Transform architectural and engineering drawings into clear, detailed 2D and 3D drafts.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to capture every technical nuance—no detail is too small.
- Review project requirements, make revisions, and adjust drawings as feedback comes in.
- Organize and maintain drawing records—keeping files neat, labeled, and accessible for everyone.
- Balance multiple projects, often under tight deadlines (there’s always a countdown clock somewhere!).
- Visit job sites as needed to double-check plans and, occasionally, answer a puzzled contractor’s call.
- Work independently, yet know when to check in with the team for a second opinion.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 1 year of 2D and 3D drafting experience, specifically within the UAE market.
- Proficiency with industry-standard drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail—because one degree off really can change everything.
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines, even when things get busy.
- Clear communication skills; you’re comfortable sharing your ideas and listening to input.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with local codes and regulations.
- Previous exposure to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- A knack for spotting ways to improve process efficiency.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary, reviewed regularly as your skills grow.
- Work-life balance: predictable hours and a friendly, supportive environment.
- Close-knit team that values mutual respect—plus, we’re big believers in sharing knowledge and good snacks.
- Modern office space opposite Al Ain University, with easy access to essentials and transport.
- Room to grow: we invest in training and love to see team members step up.
- Opportunity to work on tangible projects that truly matter to the community.
You’ll find the pace fast but the culture warm—your contribution won’t get lost in the shuffle. When your drawing becomes the blueprint for a real building, there’s nothing quite like it.
