What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specs and local regulations.
- Designing and documenting TAQA LV cable routes, 11kV single-line diagrams, and comprehensive load schedules.
- Planning the optimal placement for distribution substations, feeder pillars, and service turrets across various infrastructure projects.
- Collaborating with engineers to develop efficient and effective street lighting layouts.
- Coordinating closely with site teams to resolve design issues and make on-the-fly adjustments.
- Field-checking and updating drawings as projects evolve, ensuring every update reflects reality.
- Maintaining clear electronic records and supporting the submission of documents for approvals.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- 2–3 years hands-on experience as an Electrical Draftsman on infrastructure or utilities projects.
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drafting tasks.
- Working knowledge of TAQA LV cable systems, 11kV single-line diagrams, and load schedules.
- Experience with the layout and design of substations, feeder pillars, and street lighting networks.
- Strong eye for detail and the ability to translate technical direction into accurate drawings.
- Ready-to-work location: Al Noud, Al Ain or willingness to relocate.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with U.A.E. electrical standards and regulations.
