About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it takes to see a skyline take shape, pillar by pillar? As a Civil Engineer at our dynamic contracting company in Al Ain’s Sanaya Industrial Area, you’ll get a front-row seat—and hands-on role—in building the future every single day. We’re on the lookout for a seasoned engineer (and a few other construction-savvy pros) who knows the ins and outs of construction, and who’s ready to dive in with a team that values skill, initiative, and a bit of good-natured banter on site.
About the Company
We're more than just blueprints and hard hats—our company thrives on collaboration, innovation, and a shared pride in every structure we complete. We’ve built our reputation project by project, with a focus on integrity, safety, and quality. Our crew ranges from long-timers who know every bolt by name to energetic newcomers eager to leave their mark. Fridays often mean a celebratory lunch when a milestone is hit, and there’s always someone around who can point you to the best karak tea nearby.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee on-site construction activity, ensuring every phase aligns with technical drawings and client expectations.
- Coordinate with diverse crews—masons, carpenters, electricians—making sure everyone’s in sync and timelines are on track.
- Work side by side with project managers to address daily site challenges (unexpected rain, last-minute plan tweaks, you name it).
- Conduct site inspections, monitor quality standards, and ensure safety protocols are always top of mind.
- Liaise regularly with vendors, suppliers, and clients for material orders, progress updates, and those crucial mid-project check-ins.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate daily site records, because attention to detail is what makes or breaks a project.
- Use your driving skills to zip between sites across Al Ain as needed (UAE driving license required!).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in construction or contracting (the more local, the better).
- Currently residing in the UAE.
- Valid UAE driving license (essential for site visits and supplier runs).
- Solid grasp of relevant engineering principles, site management, and practical problem-solving.
- Comfortable communicating with teams from all backgrounds—Arabic or English speakers both welcome.
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience with building projects in the UAE market.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
- Additional certifications in construction safety or project management.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Good work is rewarded, and strong performance rarely goes unnoticed.
- Supportive environment—a team that’s got your back, even when the desert sun is at its peak.
- Exposure to a variety of projects, with real room to grow as the company expands.
- Competitive salary structure and regular site-based allowances.
- Flexible leave policies and understanding management when life happens.
- Practical perks: on-site refreshments, occasional celebratory team lunches, and a culture that values safety as much as success.
No two days are ever quite the same here. If you’re ready for the challenge—and the camaraderie—this could be exactly where you belong.
