About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Join Us as an Electrical Engineer or Supervisor: Help Power Dubai’s Solar Future
Ever pictured yourself at the forefront of Dubai’s renewable energy movement? That’s exactly where you’ll be as part of our team. We’re on the hunt for driven Electrical Engineers and Supervisors eager to make their mark on ambitious solar projects in Al Qudra. With the solar sector gaining velocity in the UAE, there’s never been a better moment to blend hands-on expertise with purpose-driven work.
About Solar Company
At Solar Company, we do more than build sustainable energy solutions — we cultivate a sense of mission. Our team is a lively mix of innovators and practical problem-solvers. We thrive on collaboration and coffee-fueled brainstorms (don’t be surprised if your calendar fills with “solar sushi Fridays” or celebratory team walks in the dunes). As a locally-rooted and growth-driven company, we trust each team member to bring fresh ideas and real ownership to every project.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee and execute the installation of solar PV systems, focusing on DC, low voltage (LV), and medium voltage (MV) cable works.
- Lead site teams or supervise sub-contractors to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, ensuring implementations match design specs (and flagging red lines before they become issues).
- Troubleshoot electrical system problems on-site — whether a misbehaving connector or an unexpected voltage drop.
- Coordinate logistics, material deliveries, and site readiness for ongoing works in Al Qudra.
- Maintain precise records for project progress, testing, and inspections.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and engineering partners.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous, hands-on experience with solar system installations in the UAE (DC, LV, MV cables especially).
- Located in the UAE and legally eligible to work (valid residency required).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, HSE standards, and site safety best practices.
- Proven ability to manage field teams and multitask during fast-paced project timelines.
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics and specifications.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade certifications.
- Familiarity with project management software or digital site reporting tools.
- Good spoken and written English — Arabic is a plus.
- UAE driver’s license.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
