About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it would be like to steer a site team through the intricate world of MEP projects, right here in the UAE? If you thrive on hands-on problem-solving and can turn complex drawings into reality, our foreman roles could be the perfect step in your career journey. We’re on the lookout for both an Electrical Foreman and a Plumbing Foreman—each with the experience, grit, and leadership chops to keep our projects running smoothly from blueprint to completion.

About the Company

Picture a workday where you’re not just putting in hours, but making a genuine impact on the city skylines and everyday lives. As a local leader in MEP contracting, our company takes pride in more than just technical expertise—we believe in tight-knit teamwork, open communication, and celebrating milestones together (let’s just say cake is not optional on handover days). Our projects span both commercial towers and residential communities, which means no two days—and no two sites—are ever the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • For Electrical Foreman:

    • Lead and guide a dedicated site team, ensuring electrical works on commercial or residential projects meet company and safety standards.
    • Interpret and execute electrical drawings, raising any discrepancies or improvements to project engineers.
    • Coordinate material orders and equipment needs with procurement and site management.
    • Liaise directly with consultants, subcontractors, and client reps for inspection and sign-off stages.
    • Motivate your team to achieve daily and weekly targets—without cutting corners on quality.
  • For Plumbing Foreman:

    • Supervise all on-site plumbing activities, focusing on drainage, water supply, and fire fighting systems.
    • Review technical drawings and make adjustments as required on the ground.
    • Work closely with health and safety officers to ensure compliance at all times.
    • Train team members on best practices, troubleshooting, and new installation techniques.
    • Handle site coordination with multiple trades while ensuring work progresses on schedule.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the UAE for your respective trade (electrical or plumbing), especially on commercial and residential projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle site teams independently, including day-to-day planning and problem resolution.
  • Strong reading of technical drawings and willingness to suggest improvements.
  • For Plumbing Foreman: Expertise in drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems.
  • For Electrical Foreman: Proficient in electrical installations, conduit works, panel boards, and troubleshooting on high-rise or residential buildings.
  • Positive attitude, great communication skills, and readiness for immediate joining.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Spoken Arabic or other languages common on site.
  • Familiarity with UAE codes and standards.
  • Previous experience with fast-track projects or handover deadlines.
  • Basic computer or report-writing abilities.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive, on-time salary (because we know that matters).
  • Supportive teams who genuinely look out for each other—even after site hours.
  • Clear opportunities for advancement into site management or specialist MEP roles.
  • A blend of challenging projects so you’re never bored.
  • Open-door policy with management—your ideas actually get heard.
  • Occasional team lunches, annual outing days, and regular recognition for a job well done.
  • Central site locations with standard working shifts.

We know that leading from the front isn’t always easy—but it’s always respected here. If you’re ready to make your mark, we can’t wait to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you describe your experience interpreting and executing technical drawings for complex MEP projects, and how do you handle discrepancies between drawings and site conditions?
  • Walk us through a recent project where you supervised a site team—how did you assign tasks, keep quality high, and motivate your crew under tight deadlines?
  • What specific challenges have you faced when coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, or client reps during inspection and sign-off stages? How did you overcome them?
  • For Electrical Foreman: How do you approach troubleshooting electrical installations or issues with panel boards in high-rise buildings?
  • For Plumbing Foreman: Tell us about your expertise in installing and maintaining drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems. Can you share an example of a problem you solved on site?
  • How have you ensured compliance with UAE codes and safety regulations during your previous commercial or residential projects?
  • Imagine your team falls behind schedule due to a late material delivery. How would you adjust your plan and communicate with both your team and management?
  • Describe a time you trained junior team members or introduced a new installation technique—what was your approach and what was the outcome?
  • In a high-pressure moment, such as preparing for a client handover, how do you maintain quality while pushing to meet deadlines?
  • Our company values open communication and teamwork. Can you share an example of how you’ve contributed to a positive team environment or resolved a conflict on site?
  • How do you balance working independently with knowing when to escalate issues or ideas to project engineers or management?
  • What motivates you to take initiative and suggest improvements to site processes or technical solutions?
  • Working in a multicultural environment is part of our daily life. How do you adapt your communication style when working with teams from different backgrounds?
  • How do you ensure you stay up to date with best practices, safety guidelines, or industry trends in MEP works here in the UAE?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 4,500–7,000 AED per month for a Foreman position in the MEP sector, based on your 5+ years of UAE experience and the responsibility of independently managing site teams. Similar roles with commercial and residential MEP contractors in the UAE often fall within this range, with the higher end possible if you bring strong leadership, technical proficiency, and multi-trade exposure. Don’t hesitate to negotiate for a package that reflects any specialized skills or language abilities you bring to the table.
