About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever find yourself mapping out the fastest route home—even while stuck in traffic? Imagine channeling that same instinct into overseeing a dynamic fleet in the heart of Dubai’s Jebel Ali. We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Fleet Manager who’s as comfortable keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes as they are stepping up in a fast-paced, high-stakes transportation hub. With urgent demand driven by our company’s growth, this is your chance to shape how goods move across the region.
About the Company
We’re not your average transportation outfit. Rooted in Dubai’s ever-buzzing industrial zone, our team is a blend of seasoned logistics pros, ambitious newcomers, and a few self-declared coffee connoisseurs. We believe in operational excellence—sure—but also in the small wins: celebrating successful deliveries, supporting each other during crunch time, and sharing a laugh at each Friday safety stand-up. Fast-paced? Absolutely. But even as we grow, we remain committed to a culture where everyone’s voice counts and initiative is always rewarded.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing a diverse fleet—think trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles—keeping them road-ready and operational 24/7
- Scheduling regular maintenance, handling repairs, and negotiating with vendors to keep costs down (while keeping reliability up)
- Coordinating, supervising, and supporting our team of drivers—assigning routes, troubleshooting issues, and handling the “Where’s my driver?” calls (they happen!)
- Optimizing routes for both efficiency and safety; your knack for logistics means less time on the road, more deliveries, and happier clients
- Ensuring all vehicles and drivers are operating within UAE transport laws and safety regulations; compliance matters to us, and to you
- Maintaining accurate records—everything from fuel logs to licenses to maintenance schedules
- Acting fast when emergencies crop up: running point for breakdowns, accidents, or last-minute reroutes
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing a fleet, preferably in the UAE or surrounding region
- Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, local transportation laws, and safety standards
- Strong leadership skills—you know how to rally a team, calm a tense situation, and get everyone moving in the same direction
- Problem-solving instincts and the ability to make decisions on the fly
- Proficiency with fleet management or routing software
Nice-to-Haves:
- UAE driving license
- Working Arabic language skills (not required, but it certainly helps in Jebel Ali!)
- Experience with large-scale logistics or import/export operations
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Two-year UAE residency sponsorship—get settled and focus on your career
- Company-provided accommodation and daily transportation to work
- Comprehensive health insurance plan
- Friendly, multicultural team where new ideas (and logistical “hacks”) are celebrated
- Opportunity to really own your role and make visible improvements in a fast-growth environment
If rolling up your sleeves and making an immediate impact excites you, you’ll fit right in. There’s plenty of support from leadership, and your contributions won’t go unnoticed. (And if you’re bringing a great sense of humor to those route-planning hiccups? Even better!)
Please note: This recruitment process includes a job application fee.
